Got a recorded message that said something about a job application I had applied for in the past week [which I have not] said to wait for the next available representative, but it went to my voice mail so that's all I got.

I haven't put out any online applications - should be interesting if they call back.

Applied for a job online and they called. Does seem kind of fishy. Asked who my cell carrier was and if I wanted to further my education. Don't give them any info

This is an Information gathering SCAM. When they call tell them to stop calling.

I think this is a scam. I think they ask general questions that aren't too personal, but I put a fraud alert on my social and credit just in case. One can never be too careful.

I had a recording. THen going to a real person. The lady asked questions about my resume. I was very confused about it saying I applied in Febuary, its been 5 months. It sounded like a scam but she asked questions that you would get of my resume and nothing else. Maybe it was a job I will have ot find out later.

Call was a recorded message from Employment Select claiming to be a pre-job interview screener for a confidential company with whom I had submitted an application for employment within the last week. (On the job that they questioned me on it was actually about a month previously.) When that recorded message (which didn't state that it was recorded but didn't respond to verbal requests) was over it immediately went to a series of very fast recorded messages delivered in bullet fashion in an endless loop requesting that I stay on hold for the next available screener/verification specialist. The messages were very loud and annoying. I was on hold for about 17 minutes and was about to hang up (but I am desperate for a job) when a screener came on board and asked me very basic questions (name, address, how long have you worked at any given job) that were already in my submitted application and resume. They then wished me good luck and that ended the conversation. Very hokey and unprofessional but if it gets me a job...whatever. The job offer has the smell of a scam and so did this but I'll have to wait and see.
