i managed to get the cell number for the sales person who handles cold calling from another employee at digital nrg. i called posing as a timeshare biz wanting to know if he was the person who handled the cold calls. he said yes. i would suggest that everyone call justin nesbitt at 214-466-0725. maybe calling his cell phone would help remove our numbers from their list.

If they called you, then the telephone provider you have sold your number to them. It is all about profit at our expense. Companies like this don't since every 1,000 pissed off people, there is 1 that would buy what service they are selling which justified them to do this still.

This one has been calling me both at my old number and new one. Unfortunately, they do not have an option to remove my number from their list or talk to a human.

I would strongly suggest that everyone that is sick of this junk file a complaint with the FCC (Federal Communications commission)
http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints_tcpa.htmlI just received a prerecorded message from this # on my cell telling me I won a vacation. This kind of stuff really pisses me off. The more complaints we send the FCC about this, the better.

got a pre-recorded message that started out "Hello Washington resident..." after which I hung up.

If I find their business address, I'm sending them a bill for next month's phone service.

Remember everyone, caller ID numbers can be spoofed just like spam. The number may in fact belong to someone or a business that has nothing to do with jerks doing the telespam.

Since my phone holds a bazillion numbers in the contact database, I set up telespam traps. I save the incoming caller ID and set the unique ringtone to 'telespam'. What is this ringtone? 10 seconds of dead silence. I never even have to hear the phone ring if they call back! Works great.

Got a call from this number. Googled and was surprised to find this site. I wonder if calling random numbers like 764-1440 or 764-1400 would yield a person.
Asshole.
 May 21st, 2007
Pressed 1 for more info, then it says to leave your name, company name and phone number so he can call back with all the details. There is no opt-out option. I left a pretty interesting name for this guy, first name starts with the letter 'F'.

It was a recorded call starting "This is a message for businesses!" and offering "free grant money". I listened through the whole thing which lasted a minute or two and it did not say who it was. At the end it told me to press 1 if I was interested. I just waited and did nothing to see what would happen, and the machine ended the call.

 May 04th, 2007
Digital NRG is one of the persistant morons doing the "grants for businesses only" recordings, calling every number business or residential, regardless of time, without proper identification, contact information or removal/opt-out information, in direct violation of Federal DoNotCall regulations.
Calling the number (214-764-1441) back gets a recording with two choices, either (option 1) Filing a complaint (voice mail asking you to leave your phone number); OR (option 2) Having your number removed from "all" of their call lists (asks if you want to remove your CALLER ID number or another number).
If you can afford 1 or 2 minutes of long distance charges then call them back and let them know how you feel about them (using option 1).
