Text message requesting to call back to authorize a credit card. Got multiple texts with different IDs saying the same thing over the last two weeks (each with different call back numbers). I don't have a BoA account, so other than being annoying I just delete. Recommend everyone else does the same. Here are the other IDs and phone numbers I have seen: 347-853-8989 (twice in one day) 732-404-8526 (once) 201-342-0964 (once) 212-457-9779 (once) 561-235-7256 (once)

This is not Bank of America. It's someone wanting to get your private information and identity. I get TEXTS every week from them and they want me to call a different number each time. It is a scam. Report it. Bank of America does not send texts like this. Call and ask.

I was dumb and signed up with a service through Facebook to get quotes on cars. After I signed up I was barraged by both car dealers & this stupid infosboa/infos@boa /new37@boa etc email account with a variety of phone numbers for me to call.

Yeah I got one of these texts giving me this number to call and telling me my debit card had been put on limitation and I needed to call them to verify some info and remove the limitation. The email addy on the text looked bogus and so I called Bank of America to verify it was a scam and Bank of America confirmed this.

Ive been getting these text messages for the past month, increasing in the last 2wks to about every other day, sometimes 2x a day or back to back. The thing is, I have never had a Bank of America account. I texted STOP for the first text I received. That seemed to work for about, 3 days, then it began all over again, more frequent, with a different number to call back to. I have refused to call the number knowing it is spam. My family and friends have been receiving the same text messages, which makes me wonder if these text messages hack into my personal phone file and spam my friends and family too. Ive found a post where someone contacted their mobile provider and requested a block of the number. Im going to try the same tactic. Overall, the instigator of these spam texts are essentially harrassing, shocking, and worrying people into doing something they should not have need or want to do. I hope the law catches up with the culprit(s) and shut them down. This is annoying!

Text received from saying, "Subject: Bank of America. Please call 212-457 9779".
It's a pfishing scam looking for your personal information in order to steal your identity or use your credit cards illegally. Do not call or reply.
