I am a recent account at john thomas financial, i was first contacted by a cold call, ive been with them since july, and have been pleased so far, i saw this while doing some due dilligence, so i asked my broker, and he told me, they dont evan have an employee named dennis riordon, i get just as annoyed as everyone else sometimes with cold calls, and most brokers are very rude, but in my 10 plus years of investing, ive gotten some very good brokers, and some horrible ones, i have one broker now for over 7 years, reguardless i think the investor is just as responsible as the broker, you need to use good judgement, if you see the selections c1ue was using, those are extremely volatile positions, which ur either going to make a ton of money, or lose alot of money, i agree theres alot of boiler rooms out there, this is not one of them

I received a call from John thomas financial and they where very respectful and courteous, i continued speaking with the broker, and opened an account with him. Since then i am up 38 percent and have fired my other brokers and consolidated my accounts. I am very pleased and dont know what the gossip above is about.

This is a boiler room operation called John Thomas Financial.

Working with them didn't work for me, it probably wouldn't work for you.

So far this year we (our association) has received 4 calls from Dennis Riordon with John Thomas (caller ID 212-299-7820.) I did some research and found this exact guy and called him back 800-257-1537 x7820 and informed him that are requesting to be put on their do not call list. Everytime he calls, we request it but he hangs up before we can confirm that he has done so. This time I got his attention and he confirmed that he will not call again. I have our attorney general on stand-by should he call again!!!

Absolutely the most rude call I've ever had. Was a guy from John Thomas Financial. When I indicated I had recently started working with a money manager he got verbally abusive and insulting. truly unbelievable. I never even got to remind him that I'm on a do not call list.

They call once or twice a day.
They usually hang up when you pick up the phone.
The caller when we called back was John Thomas Financial. They sell investments.

We left a message asking them to stop calling and that we were on the do not call list.
They agreed to stop calling.

This number has shown up on my caller id several times. Today I answered and it seemed to be some guy selling investments. When I started asking questions, he started yelling over the phone, so I hung up.

This company/caller keeps calling me and they only let the phone ring about 2 times typically. This appears to be just long enough to let caller id capture it.
I suspect this company wants you to call them back and in that way they start out with you in a state of curiousity about them. I suspect this gives them some advantage to "cold calling" when you just pick up the phone and decide if you are going to talk or not.
