Called me on 7/30/09. Said was urgent to talk to me about our credit card company wanting to lower our interest rate, if I was interested, press one. So... I pressed one. The guy name Kevin answered and said, hi you are interested? I said- I am interested in you people stop calling me. He actually said "f off" (profanity) and hung up on me! I reported to the donotcall list, however I doubt they are gonna be able to do anything.. I also am sending all the info to CT's States Atty Richard Blumenthal. I'm sick of this. Is it me or have the unwanted calls gotten worse over the past few months?

Got this call on 7-25-09 from this number. It said altho it wasnt because my account was a problem, but because it was urgent to talk to us about our credit card company wanting to lower our interest rate. I had heard of this from Washington DC but not New York. It is a scam for a company who wants to help you lower your interst rates via 3rd party. If they lower your rates, they get a commision somehow, but they never tell you that when you have your rates lowered via the 3rd party, that it also goes on your credit rating as if you are in distress finacially and that you are trying to work with your credit card company under restructuring. I wouldn't touch this company with a 10 foot pole. Will not talk to them if they call back.

Call with prerecorded message from "rachel" about lowering rates. Company says it is called "Account Services" (though "New York" shows up in caller ID).

When I asked which company it represents, it said "all of them." When asked what that meant, they claimed to represent all 500+ credit card companies/banks. I told them to remove me from their call list and that my number is on the National Do Not Call Registry. Was told that the Registry does not apply to them. I can only guess that's because they're frauds.
