recorded message from life alert -- and a bad one at that
First there was a voice message that used extreme scare tactics to persuade the receiver to purchase an emergency calling system worn around the neck. I was told to press 1 to get more information so I did. When the representative answered, I told her that I wanted to be taken off the call list. She was rude and said that she was only the operator. I asked her several times but she started to insult me and then hung up. She never identified herself or the company.
I put down that it was Life Alert because it was a recording that said "Have you seen the ads on TV where the woman has fallen and pushes a button and help arrives...well you need one of these if you are 60 years or older.
That's when I hung up on them! I'm only 59! LOL!
I thought pre-recorded telemarketing calls had been outlawed in the last consumer protection law that was passed.
Don't know who this is, and don't care. I don't owe anybody, so DO NOT BOTTHER ME!!!!
