Almost correct, Melinda. They might get away with calling you but cannot pursue your discharged debt, and cannot make those desperate legal threats. Rack 'em up in Federal court and they might help finance your bankruptcy filing.

This is a collection agency based in CA but calling from a cell phone with a TX area code. Threatens with legal action or intimates they are going to have the sheriff's dept serve me with legal papers. I am currently in bankruptcy Chapter 13 due to an illness that made me unable to continue at my job I had held for 24 years and no one is supposed to be calling or contacting me because of this.
