Sometimes even though on Do not call list, people can go online and for a fee can "buy" or "steal" someone's phone number. Then it goes around the world through different servers and can not be traced. FCC says there is nothing that can be done about it as they can not trace such calls. When your number is spoofed, caller ID could reveal your own phone number as though you are making the call. Or spoofing of another number when trying to call them back leads to a dead end, a strange type busy signal, or being cut off, or just a dead end. These are the calls I believe are spoofed numbers. The phone carrier can not do anything about such spoofers either.
I say these people are cowards trying to hide behind a stolen phone number. I guess they have nothing better to do; maybe they should get a real job.
Caller ID showed this number and "San Antonio, TX". I just called it back. A recorded man's voice promoted Magic Jack and free calls using it, but then said this is an unassigned Magic Jack phone number.

It'd be highly unlikely for me to purchase a security system from a company that is either too lazy or too unethical to honor the do not call list. Morons.
Recorded message asking me to put a security sign in my front yard to get a "free" security system. Obviously the DO NOT CALL list does not work anymore.
Obviously the do not call registry does not work . . . I would like to see this company fined for breaking the law.
Call hang up at 950 am. Reminder that scammers do not care about do not call list or any of the others. They are looking for someone to sucker in and steal from -- that is why their numbers keep changing. Unless all numbers are reported, they can not track down the people who get the new phone numbers frequently.
This number wil call and ring 15x. Most of these numbers that harass us are phone numbers bought from phone companies and can't be stopped as they come from foreign countries.
Scammer prentending to be with GE Security systems.
Just answer it, lie about who you are, ask what they want.
