OK, these calls are totally out of control. All day every day. The other night I was driving home and I received another call, and I was thinking how nice it would be if I could stop at a pay phone and call back the number and once they answer just leave the phone off the hook. You know, tie up there incoming lines, give them back a little trouble, just like they are giving us. Would love to do it every day to every number that I know is WaMu. But, I know that would become expensive, using a pay phone, and I don't want to use my home phone or my cell phone, because they could track the phone number. Then it came to me!!! Why not program these WaMu numbers into Skype, and every time I receive a call, or whenever I have some free time, just call the WaMu numbers with Skype. It works, and they cannot see a phone number with Skype. I don't use a Skype phone number, just pure VoIP. The call goes through, and eventually a real person answers, but I don't say anything. So they eventually hang up, and I call again. Imagine if hundreds of us, or maybe thousands of us, called these WaMu numbers over and over again using Skype! Maybe it would cause them to stop the calls. Maybe not. But, at least it gives me some satisfaction! Try it.... you'll like it!
I've gotten a couple new numbers from these guys again. I've decided that I'm going to start RickRollin them when someone calls.
Just started getting this number calling me, 4 times today already. I can't understand what the guy said, he sounded like he was looking for someone named "Julian." All I told them was that I knew no one by that name and they had the wrong number.
The first time they called, I answered and the person on the other line said "Someone is on the line." As if he wasn't expecting anyone to answer, and than he put me on hold, HAHA. I hung up on them.
I'm not even involved with WaMu, so I don't know how they got my cell number.
It is WAMU...don't pay them anything..declare...BK..#7..wipe them out..start fresh...screw them..and their.."toxic mortgages"...classless scum!
Got a call from a 210-247.0026 number... twice.. second time she got me and said I was over due and needed to make a payment using an old check ( aka give her my routing number ) . I told her,, you called me.. why do I need to give you any info? I told her I would do it online and she resisted. ASked, " why don't you want to make the payment over the phone?" I told her I will do it from WAMU. site. She told me to call 800 356-0011 to pay it later.. with a check... BOGUS.. someone find these people and torture them.
I owe WAMU 57.00 and have called them and advised the payment would be made on Dec 31. I also explained we are not allowed personal phone calls at work (they call over 5 times a day) and they said that was fine and they would call my personal number. Guess what it is 9:50AM and I have already received 3 calls since 8:35. Do they not understand? It is not like I do not pay them and I am only 7 days overdue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
more names Dec 24th, 2008
Wake up people... WaMu is using the Internet with 'VOIP' to make collection calls. By doing so, you'll never get 'caller-id' on your phone. With 'VOIP' the phone number can be anything they program in.
If you owe WaMu & want to pay them: Mail it in and/or use their secure website. Do NOT conduct business over the phone.
Just load the phone-number in your system as 'WaMu'... and don't answer.
yeah it's wamu credit card services. I never answer but i wonder why they actually call..it's sort of annoying getting the same phone call every single day multiple times...grrr! does anyone know what they actually want???
just received this on my cell phone. couldn't find anything online but nasty calls from this number. i didn't answer and they left a "thank you for doing business" recorded message on my voicemail. i think its just some group of people phishing for account information.
More harassment from Washington Mutual.
Go ahead and sue, I'll just file BK.
