The DNC registry is for telemarketers, meaning sales, meaning all debt collectors are exempt. This fact was not kept secret from you when you registered your numbers. What's ''harassment'' to you may not hold up to a courtroom definition. You would need a very heavy call pattern and/or abusive treatment to get in that territory.

If you're not the target of the skip trace, send a cease-comm notice via USPS Certified with card. The FTC and many consumer watchdogs explain how to draft one. Learn how to exercise your FDCPA rights as an alleged debtor at FTC-dot-gov.

Pre-recorded msg, asking for a callback concerning some business I am currently conducting. I answered the phone, and got the recorded msg, instead of a live person! I called the number back and they said the recording said the company was "TOTAL CARD" and it was an attempt to collect a debt since I do not have any debts, and don't use credit, this is harrassment.
