scam
I received the "senior alert call," this afternoon and spoke to an operator. I demanded to know how she got my number. She insisted that I opted-in to receive the information. When I flatly denied it, she said that a drug store or my medical provider supplied the number-- and that has to be the only source. I do not opt=in for anything at all! I tried to obtain more info about the company and her. She said that she was 21 years old. She sounded like a young Afro-American. I told her what she was doing was strictly illegal and that it is likely that her employer will be raided by G- Men. She laughed. Then I told her about federal agents, and how various hospital systems already have been investigated and audited because one of their employees provided patient information just like this to a company like hers. She laughed and thought what I was telling her was very amusing. I continued to tell her that she does not work for the government and that there is no federal or state mandate for me to have a medical alert bracelet. I then asked her why didn't she wear one, and that it was more likely for someone like her to have a medical emergency than me. I continued for about twenty minutes, then performed a star 69 caller ID and a star 57 trace using my Comcast equipment. I also reported the call to the Do Not Call Registry. My home phone number is on that registry. I do not appreciate receiving any kind of solicitation.

Call received at 2:47 pm (Central) with Caller ID of "CA". That was enough to tell me the call was a scam.
I did not answer the call. Location of the caller tracked to Fresno, California. The number will be
blocked on my phone system.

Didn't answer the phone. I don't normally do that when the number or Caller ID is not familiar.
