This is the third set of calls from Market Decisions located in Portland Maine. This time they were doing a health care survey for the University of New England, Center for Health Care Policy. Since they were up front about who they were I sent off a courtesy note to the supervisor of the people who make the calls for Market Decisions and requested that they add my name an number to their permanent do-not-call list. I copied the director of the University of New England, Center for Health Care Policy as well as Dr. Brian Robertson at Market Decisions. Perhaps they might get the idea this time that I'm not interested in their surveys but only time will tell.

This is a Marketing Research Company, doing Telphone Research or Surveys.
They did not leave a message, and I block their number.

If I can say anything about this company, they are persistent but in an annoying way. This time it was Ryan who was calling for Market Decisions, an independent research company in Maine. Apparently they are doing research on banking in Maine and wanted me to participate in a survey. He said if I wanted to check on the validity of the survey that I could call Dr. Brian Robertson at 800-293-1538 ext 102. Found their web site and they do have a Dr. Robertson with a Ph. D. (piled higher and deeper) with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology. Not sure what his Ph. D. is but I wonder how Anthropology fits into the market research field. It looks like the company is OK but it's unlikely that they will be able to get any survey info from me.

This is the second call that I received from this outfit. The first one was yesterday. I wasn't here to pick up the phone on that one and no message was left. On the call today the caller identified himself as Raymond from Market Decisions. I happened to be on my cell phone talking about something much more important so I hung up on Raymond as soon as he identified himself, the company, and where he was located. He Portland. There is a company in Portland Maine by that name. A couple of the reports on their home page have to do with the Maine voting intentions for 2008 and the 2008-2009 Maine Budget. Not sure what Raymond was doing research on.
