car
warranty
The message asks you to press one and wait for an operator. When the operator comes on, she asks for the make and model of your car as she wants to extend your warranty. If you ask to have your phone number removed, she disappears. If you google the phone number, it says it is no longer in use yet they have just called you. This is a scam.

This is the third call we have received from this number in the last two weeks -- even though I push number "9" which says will remove us from their list! Recorded message says the warranty on our car is running out and it is urgent that we speak to a representative!! What??!! Good grief! We have old cars that we've never had warranties on! The message is stern and definitely uses "scare tactics" which I'm sure could confuse some people into talking with them about whatever the heck they're selling. Very irritating to be on the do-not-call list and still receive this type of call!
