The Breast Cancer Prevention Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. They are soliciting donations.

May be a good cause thought I have not vetted them as of yet. However, they are calling numbers logged with the “DO NOT CALL” registry in violation of the “Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007”, which became law in February 2008. http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/04/dncfyi.shtm; https://www.donotcall.gov/

This company is full of crap! They claim 93% goes towards helping wmoen to get screened for breast cancer, but the owner is a piece of work! They pay dollars an hr to bring in 30-35 dollars an hr. If You do the math that doesnt leave 93% to go to the cause. The owner from my perspecive kept the majority of the money. His name is Jim Patton and he drives nice cars and has a huge motorhome. He even turned the employee breakroom into a garage for his motorhome while he stayed away from home which he lives on a small island near Seattle Washington. Thats the solid truth... just thought u might want to know. Oh he alcohol while touring the call floor. How tacky! the BBB outta check this guy out!

They pretty much call daily and no one is on the line when we answer. Very, very annoying because there is no one to complain to.

Calls daily, sometimes several times a day, also in the evenings. Caller ID shows BCPF. If we answer, there is just silence, then a disconnect. When we called the number back this evening, we got a recording by the Breast Cancer Prevention Fund. We selected option 2#--we were forwarded to a mailbox which is, of course and no surprise, full. We are unable to leave even a message to tell them to "Quit calling!" The calls are extremely annoying. We don't have an answering machine, so we have to drop whatever it is we are doing to answer the phone just to discover it's THEM again! They say that stress may double a woman's risk of developing breast cancer...so, are the folks with BCPF trying to prevent breast cancer or cause it?

Call came to my workplace at 4:20PM Pacific October 1, 2010. I answered and immediately somebody disconnected. Is there any legitimate way for a business to stop this and other telemarketer-type calls?

The call came in, I anwered it normally, no one was there within 2 secondes, the most I'll give any call, so I hung up. Next time, if this comes through my caller ID, it will be answered by me pushing the phone buttons for about 30 seconds as fast as I can. ;-)

They're organized by a marketing firm, so other google searches reported.
They are not very open about their finances, according to the Better Business Bureau.
Their home page is http://www.breastcancerpreventionfund.org/
Their reported use of funds is to replace the free government mammography programs that were canceled.
People are paid to randomly call numbers until someone wants to donate, or needs services.

There was no information about this caller available online except that it is a land-line for "BCPF". I could pay money to get a trace on it -but it looks like it is just a telemarketer. Called in the evening -8:18pm, and caller left no message.

Several calls, and they hang up when I answer. Tried calling back to see who it was, and received a message that "this number can't be completed as dialed."

We receive a nearly daily call from "BCPF" -- we do not answer these calls. The number calling was 206 629-8625.

Receive a call from UNAS or this number almost daily. Never a message left. I called the number and there was a message machine that said Breast Cancer Prevention Program --if you would like to schedule a mammogram - I hung up at this point.

I believe this is a scam. Caller indicates they are collecting funds for uninsured/poor women in state of Washington for mammograms. Same call received approx. 2 years ago. I asked for breakdown of how funds were spent, how women were selected and percent of monies received that actually went to cover mammography. Was offered this information over the phone. Indicated I wanted a printed breakdown. Did not receive anything. However, was sent an invoice in mail to donate. Did not sent anything. And, the envelope was handwritten.

Called 2-4 times per day for last week, leaves no message. Chances of me answering...0. Chances of me contributing to any charity over the phone...less than 0 !!!
 May 21st, 2008
This is the third time in one week that we have received a call from this number. The first two times, I let it go to voicemail and they did not leave a message. This time, when I answered, they hung up.
