I had a missed call from 206-445-6529. I listened to the voicemail and it was an autodialer talking about taking advantage of some business opportunity. Since it was my cell phone that I received the call on and my number is in the do-not-call registry, I called the number back to ask where they got my information. Same as other complaints here, I would hear a single beep, some background noise, and then it hung up. Several other attempts yielded the same results. I've filed a complaint with the FCC and am blocking the number since that's all you can do. I never got a name, company name, or any other information.

We have been bombarded with "make money at home" calls for the past 4 days... over 20 calls already. All are coming from Phoenix. But this one was new: from Seattle. Phone ID said "More Mileage Now". I answered with a tired "What do you want?" The girl asked if this was "X" and I asked what she wanted Mr. X for. She hung up.

Had a missed call from 206-445-6529 on 5/20/2010 and decided to call it back. I asked the person why they had called. They began to tell me about how they are looking for affiliates in my area for a work-at-home program where a person can make up to $1500/week. I made aware to them that my number is on the National Do Not Call List. His reply was "Oh, I did not know that". I asked him where he had received my number and his reply was "we get our numbers from a third party". I asked to be removed from his calling list and if he or his company called again that I would file a complaint with the FTC and they would be subject to any penalties from an investigation. I asked him if he understood and he became personally defensive. When I asked him for his name he said "I already told you my name" (which he hadn't) so I played dumb and said "well tell it to me again". He said his name was Ryan and when I asked if he had a last name he replied that he does not give out his last name. So when I asked if he had an employee ID number and said Yes but never gave to me and changed the subject. At this time he said that he was "scared and he feels threatened". He must not have any balls because although I was on the offensive for finding out why he had called (since I have been receiving other strange calls throughout the day) at no time was things ever "threatening". Anyways, I made sure he understood everything and he came back with me with some other words and he said he would take me off the list. He then hung up. I decided to call the number back. Surprisingly, I got the same person. I don't know if it was a coincidence or if this person works alone. As soon as I said "Hello" the person said "I don't understand why you called back. I have taken you off the call list. You don't have any further business". I said to him "Yes, I do. I had more questions to ask you but you hung up." He surmounted to some more words that didn't go anywhere and finally I said "you or your company better not call this number again". His final reply was "Ok". I told him have a nice day. I guess I will wait and see if he ever calls back.
