Lady advised that they needed to update my physical address information, then send us coupons and certificates on how to save on utilities. Told her I was not interested and hung up. she called back and hung up on me.
They called our business line. The company is United Prosolve. They do claim to be a tech support service. One they want to transfer you to a third party verification you know this is a scam to switch your local or long distance service. Call both your local & long distance company and ask to put a "freeze' on your services. This will eliminate any company trying to slam. Well worth your time calling to prevent this slammers.
Have answered this once and was read a spiel about them being able to "save me hundreds on my phone bill" even though I don't spend anywhere near "hundreds" every month for my land line bill. Woman would not stop her spiel even when I asked her three times what business she was calling from.
The next time they called I played the standard phone company SIT error tone and message (i.e. doo doo dee We're sorry, the number you have called is not in service). After doing this I have not received any further calls from this number so it appears as if they use an automated system to call you and it places your number on its 'Not Dialable" list after hearing the SIT tone.

No ID, no message, no sale - tough luck for bumhugs.
It is a telemarketer trying to switch your phone service.
