Also, They are not just calling from the phone book as they called my cell and it is not in the phonebook.
Message says 'Your factory warranty on your vehicle is about to expire....'
Oh sure, it is!! Telemarketing call!
They called once, I let voicemail answer it. It was the computerized message about an auto warranty. Luckily I have a few tricks up my sleeve too. They called back a few days later and all they got was the standard "this number is no longer in service" message with those annoying beeps. ain't life grand.
I am tired of getting this call on my Cell Phone. I block it and for some reason it still manages to come through. How is it possible for this number to get through to keep harassing people? I want it to STOP and will find a way for this to happen even if I have to SUE someone to pay the bills!
These idiots call me all the time. All I do is pick up the phone and not say a word then hang up after about 20 seconds. I've never once actually said 'hello' nor will I
ok people listen carefully. the people behind the number 206-397-1715 are bill/debt collectors using the ruse of car warrantys just to verify a warm blooded person behind your number. these guys up there in washington state have the ability to manipulate the telephone system identity program so they put in what ever identity may look the most believable to you as the reciever of these calls. you, or we get all upset over these never ending BS calls, they get rude back, (which is their job)harrassment. you hang up they hang up, mission accomplished! youve just been identified as a live person at your number and will now be targeted harder and further because they know your there at your that number. they want to hide their identity from you by using known telemarketer tactics. if you call and complain to anyone of authority you've only turned in a bogus untraceable number. these people, bill/debt collectors use illegal tactics all the time and this is just another of those tactics. SO, bottom line, don't pick up the phone unless you know for sure who's on the other end. good luck folks.
oh and p.s, you bill/debt collectors you go phuck yourselves you are the scum of the earth and you'll never get a "f"ing dime out of me.

TWICE NOW THESE SOBS HAVE CALLED AND WOKE ME UP!!!
Jenna again Apr 08th, 2010
Well I found how to deal with these people. I told them I was INTERESTED in the WARRANTY! I then told them my only vehicle I owned was a gold 1981 AMC Germlin w/ air conditioning which had 679,455 miles on it! (I even faked VIN number from a web search) THEY TOLD ME ... they could not warranty such an old vehicle with so many miles on it! I pretended to get mad and DEMANDED THEY give me the WARRANTY!
They put the supervisor on the phone, I went through the same spill again and added... I said "Look lady, you called me and now you won't give me a warranty???????" The supervisor politely responded .."We apologize for your inconvenience, we will remove your number from our calling list."
That was last summer.... I have NOT had a call since!

Recording that says "the dealership" asked them to call and check on my car warranty. They say to press one to be connected to "your agent" to verify your warranty and get help extending it if necessary and to press 2 to stop receiving the calls.
These guys are calling daily, get rude and hang up on you if you ask any questions. Below is a link to the "cease and desist" court order (I found it by clicking on the link to komonews posted on 3/4/2010 in this comment section....very interesting, it has names and home addresses.
I too have had several calls from this number that I have let go unanswered. Thanks be to God! My caller ID indicates "Sales Dept." and "Seattle, WA" I will try to find time to report them as I am on the do-not-call list.
I get this a lot. Also had an identity issue. They are trying to sell me a vehicle warranty (I have a 91 Jetta and a 92 Ram).

Here is a court ordered message for these idiots, they were ordered to stop these as none are licensed to sell this crap. : http://www.komonews.com/news/consumer/83506987.html
These people are rude idiots that don't take no for an answer. Next time they call I might just tell them 'they are about to expire' and see if they call again. I am sick of their crap calls. My car is 16 years old and well over a warranty. If they ahd any brains they would have seen that on the year model. And the next one that hangs up on someone like they did me, I hope they get electrocuted... -.-
This was a call from a sales department saying that the warranty on the car is expiring. When I asked what car, the rep said "Just a minute"; and then there was a disconnect.
tell them you want there service but wont give info over phone and they will hang up on you.
why cant you call these people back at the same number they called us from ...
this is not a company it is a scam buyer beware
Once again some evil SOB calling while I am asleep and hanging up on my answering machine before I can get to the phone! Someday! They will get whats coming to them!
i didn't answer the phone, i checked here instead.
Not stupid Feb 08th, 2010
from "american insurance services" it's a scam relating to auto warranties. i am even listed on donotcall.gov so i registered a complaint with them too!
First time received call from this number, but only answer unless I recognize the number...if not I check this site out for related comments & then block! MY QUESTION TO ALL WHO COMMENT IS WHAT DO WE HAVE IN COMMON??? ARE ANY OF YOU KNOWN CURRENT VICTIMS OF ORGANIZED STALKING [CAUSE OR GANG STALKING]??? "THEY" USE SPOOF CALLER IDs AND OTHER FORMS OF ELECTRONIC HARASSMENT INCLUDING THESE TYPES OF BOGUS PHLISING PHONE CALLS AND THE MOST SADISTIC HAVE ACCESS & USE ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION WEAPONS [DEWs]to assault persons through the walls of their home and/or office after PLACING AN EAVESDROPPING SOFTWARE TELEPHONE BUG CALLED AND INFINITY BUG ONTO THEIR PHONE AFTER THE VICTIM ANSWERS TURNING THEIR PHONE INTO A ROOM LISTENING DEVICE EVEN THOUGHT PHONE IS OFF ON ITS CRADLED. Sceptical, then check out these terms on the internet and learn first-hand yourself.
First time received call from this number. Did not answer. Never answer phone unless I know who it is and only if I want to speak to the caller.
Person that called me from this number tried to tell me he was from Microsoft and that they noticed I had some viruses downloaded and that they were just making me aware but they had a tech and would like to correct it so my computer wouldn't crash and burn. They asked me to turn my popups off. I have been contacted by Craigslist saying they are cancelling my account because of multiple computers trying multiple passwords.
the call from 206-397-1715 was threatening. I didn't do what they wanted me to do in order to get into my computer and he said we were dumb f---g americans, and said he would find me and f--- me and my husband up.
Recieved call from this number this morning while in the shower. Not an unfamiliar area code, but number is, came online to look it up since I am on the "Do not Call List" and rarely recieve any unfamilar calls. I appreciate others taking the time to post about these Scammers! They should be thrown on a boat and set adrift out in the middle of the ocean!
Caller told my son my car was overdue for inspection and I should not drive it any longer.
I have received calls from this number repeatedly over the past month? Called so many times, quit counting. I also get a call and I suspect the same sales call that shows Private Name, Private Number.
Can no one do anything about this kind of garbage? FCC, do not call list do no good for anyone?
My personal belief is that this is contributing to identity theft in this country. What's the purpose of these calls? To sell something? So they call a hundred people and 99 of them get angry because it's unsolicited (or they're on the do-not-call list). Just one person bites on what they're selling. Isn't that how identity theft works? Phishing scams go out to thousands of people. One person believes they are getting a message from a trusted source, clicks on a link and responds to it and BAM! An identity is stolen (hopefully, that is all that is stolen). If I used my phone to do what these people are doing, I'd expect to get reprimanded. Apparently, these people don't think the same way I do. Here's an idea, though (and I apologize if this has been suggested before). They had to purchase their service from somebody. I have to pay for my phone. So why don't we penalize the service providers for selling their service to someone who uses it for, oh I don't know, calling people on a do-not-call list or, more importantly, IDENTITY THEFT??? I'm guessing the provider(s) won't do anything because that will affect their profitability. Reputable service providers should be able to cross-reference calls made against a do-not-call database. If someone uses a listing of theirs to call a number on a do-not-call list, they are immediately suspended from operation.
I too have received at least 6 calls from them. They also wanted to know the make and year of the car. I told her that they should know it. She said she needed me to tell her to verify it..lol.. right!! My phone # is under a different name and has been for about 30 years. She said well aren't you ...and said the name I have in the phone book. So they are just going through the phone book for numbers. I told her not to call this number again and she said if I'm not that person she doesn't need to talk to me and hung up on me. I wish I knew the name of the company, so I could report them to the BBB. Doing a reverse phone # look up I found out they are out of Seattle,WA but that's all.
Computer dialer to residence. Illegal. Waited for rep to come on the phone. She wanted auto details to sell me a warranty. I asked her the name of her company and she replied American Warranty Services. Asked for physical address and she gave me a bogus street in Houston, bogus zip. Asked for supervisor who told me that was for a "future" location. LOL I asked her about illegal computer dialers to homes, no existing business relationship, $16,000 fine per occurrence, and she said they made plenty of money and could pay it. I told her Karma was a powerful thing, and that every moment she chatted with me, I was saving the next guy from their harassment. She then hung up on me.
said my warranty on my car had expired and then wanted to know what year and make of car I drove! I asked how he knew my warranty had expired and he said....get this!...."if you're getting this call it must be expired". Was not the dealer and I couldn't understand the name he gave as the company name. Told him I was on do not call list...end of conversation. Anybody else been blessed by these yayhoos?
