I received a call from them, and spoke with a supervisor. Asked them to tell me the last 4 of the CC used for this transaction and they told me it was starred out for my protection. I told them I never subscribed to Maxim and they said that I did. I asked them how I can cancel it and they said it would be an early termination fee of $200.00. I laughed at him and said this is obviously a scam. Hea said it's not a scam and when I tried to ask more questions he hung up on me. I called Maxim directly and they said that the order came from a company called PriorityOne Clearing Services (http://www.priorityoneclearing.com/contact.aspx) 727-443-2200
in Clearwater FL. According to Maxim I do have a subscription through this third party company. I will be calling them today to get to the bottom of this and post the info here.
I have received (and trashed) two unsolicited copies of MAXIM. Got a call from 206-397-1012 who told me I had subscribed to MAXIM for 5 years (as well as other magazines.
I complained to FCC then FTC then Georgia Consumer Protection Agency.
I called MAXIM they said that the subscription was from New Sub agency, Stamford. CN - called them and they told me I don't have a subscription - they are going to call me back.
SCAMMERS AT WORK. I will track down where this came from.
I recommend you call the magazine subscription office and ask how your subscription originated, and follow the trail.
They are scammers.....pretended to be my current magazine and wanted money....they had all my unformation....do not trust this number!!!!
I just called the number back and message does allow you to select to be removed from their call list by pushing "1". Once you select "1" the message tells you that it will take up to 72 hours to be removed from their list. Hope this helps.
Frequency of calls is increasing... 4 from them yesterday, 5 today (so far). I have never done business with these idiots, so do not know why they are calling me repeatedly. I don't do business with people who call me on the phone anyway, so maybe these wankers will eventually get the message.
Three calls from these bloody wankers today alone! They can stick it where the sun will never shine!
I got this call this morning. I googled it only because I had a weird feeling. I have friends who live in that area code, but there is no reason for them to be calling me at 9:30 am. Glad I looked it up first. My friend has been complaining of the same type of caller, but they're calling from Delaware. They aren't on the line when you answer, but when you call back they give you an option to take your number off the list, which doesn't seem to do any help. I'm interested in getting to the bottom of this!
This "I N C" called me two times today. I was scammed by a group who calls themselves "World Wide Readers Service, Inc." I have a suspicion that this "I N C", if not affiliated with, is up to the same kind of scam. They'll tell you about a magazine which you have recently subscribed to and make it sound like they're giving you some kind of deal or discount. I was dumb enough, I admit as I was caught off-guard, to give her my card number after she told me I'd pay $9.95. But after I gave her my info, she told me (at 1000 mph, or should I say 1000 WPM?) that I would be charged an additional $49. So I told her I no longer wished to go through with the deal when she asked which magazines I would be interested in receiving. She said OK, and we ended the conversation. Right away, I checked my online bank statement to find that they charged me anyway. I canceled my card immediately thereafter, however, about a month or so later, they send me a INVOICE in the mail asking me to pay in excess of $100 for magazines which I never even received to begin with. The most recent letter I have received from them stated that I would be owing them in excess of $1000 and that my account was seriously delinquent or something to that extent. I have reported these snake oil bastards to the Federal Trade Commission already, so we'll see how that goes. But as for this strange "I N C" number coming out of Washington, I cannot say with any conviction that they are directly affiliated once again, but I definitely suspect that they are up to a similar operation. I hope this helps, and that no one falls victim to their dirty shenanigans, and I hope these assholes get caught soon.
Eight calls from this number today, and no message was ever left on the answering machine. I don't answer calls from people I don't know, preferring to let my answering machine screen my calls for me.If I filed a complaint on the Do Not Call website, these telemarketers would probably claim to have a "prior business relationship" allowing them to call me. Not!
Wanted to know how I like the Rachael Ray Magazine.
Got a call form this (206)397-1012. I answered, no one spoke. Then phone was hung out.
I have received numerous calls from this number but no one is on the line when I pick up. I think it must be computer generated calls.
They called four times today. The last one was 8pm. I answered the last call. They asked for my wife, and hung up as soon as I told the person she was unavailable. I didn't get a chance to demand that they stop calling. My phone number is registered with the Do No Call Registry. I submitted a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry. File your complaints here: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
I got four calls today

2 09 pm Not Available
5 04 pm I N C
7 18 pm I N C
weird on what I see on caller id
I have reported this number (206) 397-1012 to the National DO NOT CALL List
I've received, on average, 2 calls per day from these people for the last week or so. Since I did not recognize number I did not answer, until today. When I answer I tell the person on the other end to stop calling, then they play dumb and ask if "david" is there?. I have told them no on 2 occasions, next time I may say yes or something to to screw with them. Tried to take my number off their solicitation list, but it has failed so far.
Call the number back. You'll get a recorded message that lets you get off their calling list. Hope it helps.
It is coming from seattle washington
INC shows up on our caller ID. This started about 3 days ago and they are calling several times a day. Complaining to the DNC list has never helped in the past.

If you have registered your phones with the National Do Not Call List then go to website and file a complaint. Need # & times calls received. I did.
