This "non-profit" generally does not make calls themselves.
They use a Commercial Fundraiser to make collections.
This "non-profit" uses Community Support, Inc. and Empire Fundraising, LLC

Info is accessable from the secretary of state of Washington state, listed below.

If you wish the calls to stop, I suggest you both contact the Charity, and their Commercial Fundraisers.
Your local Attorney General's Office, Non-Profit/Charitable division will most likely be happy to help you with these annoying phone calls.
Considering it is that person's job.
Make sure you have the charity's full name, address, and phone number, and which Commercial Fundraiser's name when you contact the AG.

Evaluation Conclusions

A Child's Wish Association of America (ACWAA) does not meet the following 8 Standards for Charity Accountability.

Standard 4 : Compensated Board Members - Not more than one or 10% (whichever is greater) directly or indirectly compensated person(s) serving as voting member(s) of the board. Compensated members shall not serve as the board's chair or treasurer.

ACWAA does not meet this Standard because two members (29%) of the seven-member board of directors are compensated either directly (the paid CEO) or indirectly (the spouse of the paid CEO). In addition, ACWAA does not meet this standad since the referenced spouse of the CEO serves as the chair of the board.
Standard 8 : Program Service Expense Ratio - Spend at least 65% of its total expenses on program activities.

If you answer the phone and no one is there, it's usually a computer dialer. The computer dials the numbers it is given and simply reports back a binary code for off the hook presence. Sometimes someone will call back in a few minutes. They're just trying to see if someones home so they can put a live operator on you. It's a time and money saving device.

When they do call back minutes later, tell them you don't appreciate their tactics by making you get up to answer a prank hangup call. Then be silent. If they continue to talk, just repeat the word "silent" over and over again, no matter what they say.

If 100 people did this, 100 more might hear about it. Like a virus it would spread and one night these little christian telemarketers might be in for a really weird night... tens of thousands of Americans answered their calls with the chant for them to be "silent".

Mike: What's wrong?
Lucy: (Hangs up with her face turning strange) Oh my god. That's the 15th person tonight I've called and they all say the same thing over and over.
Mike: they say...Lucy?
Lucy: Silent...silent...silent.
Mike: Whoa....

I received a call from this number on 10-15-06 at 8:50pm. I did not answer becuase I was not familier with the number and was on another call. I tried to call the number back but there was no answer. It went to a voicemail box for Rob Jackson, but stated the mailbox was full and would not allow me to leave a message. It appeared on caller ID as ACWAA, but I have no idea what that stands for.
