Calls come all the time to our home phone. ID shows "Unavailable" so I don't answer. No messages are every left from this number. After reading other comments I'm pretty sure they are tricksters from a collection agency. I have had dealings with this AmSher company before. They are not really nice, but that's their job I guess.

I have received calls from these people too. I do NOT answer calls that I don't know, so I let it ring, and no msg was left. Then I did a reverse lookup and came across all these cites talking about how this was a scam. So I was READY for the next time they called. I called them back and said that I was familiar with their "company" and I had done research, and that they were NOT to call me again (this was on my cell). The woman I talked to said "Um, who am I speaking with?" and I said, "Heck! YOU called ME!" And she got real smart and said "I DIDN'T call you. If I DID, I would not have asked that question!" Then I said "Well, my number is __________" and she said "Well we're calling for (my husband), is he available?" and I said "What's the nature of your call?" And she said an important business matter. So I said WHAT'S THE NATURE OF YOR CALL?!?!? And she said "is he available??" like she was getting an attitude. SO I said "This is NOT his phone, so you are NOT to call this number AGAIN." And she said "That's fine, we'll call him, we won't call you. GOODBYE!"

SCAAAAAAAM!! If she was able to call him all along, why was she calling ME and NOT HIM!!! These people are totally bogus. Watch out; Don't give them any info. Get them to give YOU info, and if they won't, oh well. Don't be shaken by their threats.

Wow. All this was really helpful, I never knew this cite existed. Thanks to all who left comments here. I did have a medical claim earlier this year, but all my medical bills are paid, and i've got the check numbers to prove it; so maybe I'll answer the line now so I can find out what else they want. Hopefully I won't get "Aaron."

Okay, this number keeps calling my cell phone. They’ll either leave a message asking me to please call them about an urgent matter or they will just keep calling and hang up when it goes to voice mail. So, I Googled the number and there are all these chat strings about how it’s some kind of a collections agency or telemarketer that asks for your SS#, DOB, etc. (SCARY!) So, my cell service provider has the capability to block numbers, so I blocked the number. They just called my DIRECT LINE at work, and the first thing the lady asked was to confirm my full name, and then she said, “for security/identification purposes will you please confirm what your date of birth is?” I told her absolutely not and to please not call me again. She said, “that’s fine, we will try you at home” and then she hung up. I don't know how to report this caller and I don't know what they're after, but it sounds identity theft related.

Received calls from 800-844-5279 AND 205-313-2638 all day, everyday- even on the weekends with no messages left. I finally answered one day, fed up from the non-stop calls and a very aggressive, pushy man named Aaron tried to bully me into paying a bill that I had already paid. He asked to speak to me and then damanded that I comfirm my birthday. I told him I wasn't doing that because I didn't know who he was or what he wanted and he kept demanded that I tell him when my birthday was. After we argued and went round and round about that, he finally mentioned a doctor's office that I had used and I gave in and told him my birth date. He told me that unless I could prove I had already paid it to him (over the phone?) then I would have to pay the bill again and then deal with getting my money back later. I told him he was crazy and I was NOT paying the bill again. He rattled off something about federal law and said that the amount would be on my credit within 5 days and that the phone call was recorded and would be used against me.

All this nasty exchange over $30!! These people are J E R K S
