they call every day; sometimes more than once. when i do answer and ask who it is. they say they'll call back. when pressed, they finally tell me who they are. i resent them calling at 9pm and so often to solicit money. this is harassment==yet we have no recourse.

This phone number is calling to try to SCAM money for the CT Fraternal Order of Police. I have NOT called the number, nor will I. It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions using potentially manipulative techniques, help you waste your donation on fundraising fees, or anything else related to the FOP getting a small fraction of your donation, 12% to 27% Some fundraiser's pocket as much as 73% to 90% and up. Also, there

My number is a long distance call for them and they hang up right before my answering machine answers. when I answered their call in the past they ask for donations, after declining they get rude & aggressive. I'm pretty sure this is a scam outfit that is just collecting for themselves and not for any Police organazation.

GOOD NEWS and BAD NEWS. Blocking 203-713-2666 is the good news. Bad news is that the CT FOP uses a block of numbers, i.e. the same 203-713, but several line numbers. In addition to 2666, my Caller ID has shown: 2670, 2673, 2676 and 2679. While I have AT&T, it only allows me to block up to six numbers. Since I already use it to block three other callers...... well, back to square one.
A possible solution however might be to try this method using the # button on your phone. When your Caller ID shows CT FOP 203-713 26xx, answer it and immediately start hitting your # button 8 or 9 times then hang up. I'm told that this is suppose to confuse the auto-dialer machine, and it kicks your number out of their system.
Of course the best thing to do is not answer the phone when CT FOP 203-713 26xx calls. May the memory of "Old Ma Bell" be in your thoughts throughout the day.

I close my summer place at the end of October but do leave one phone plugged in (no ans machine). This group called 3/18, 3/26, 4/7, 4/21, 4/30, 5/11, & 5/28. Guess they don't get the idea that no one is home. Caller ID - CT FOP. Can't wait for their next call so I can tell them where to jump and how high they need to go. Several numbers were used as well - 203-713-2666, 2670, 2673, 2676, 2679.

This phone number is calling to do fund raising for the Connecticut State Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number. It directs you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP. Also, there’s information on, you can contact them there with any questions or requests.
The FOP is doing a lot of really great things for Connecticut police officers and the people that call are trying to help them raise money so they can do even more good.
