They have called more than once in the last week. I don't even own a credit card, and I told them I never would consider it. I might give them the air horn the next time.

I have been on the donotcall registry since it began and have "renewed" that registration every couple of years. I believe it is required to renew every 5 years.

Filed a complaint at

GET A WHISTLE AND WHEN THEY ARE ON THE LINE BLOW THEIR EAR OFF WITH IT. AFTER 5 MONTHS OF HEALTH SERVICE CALLING ME AND NO AMOUNT OF "I AM NOT INTERESTED, TAKE ME OFF YOUR CALLING LIST" NOT WORKING, I BLEW THE EAR OFF THE LAST PERSON THAT CALLED AND HAVEN'T HAD ANOTHER CALL THUS FAR. IF THEY CALL AGAIN THEY WILL GET A BLAST FROM MY WHISTLE, IT IS RIGHT BY THE PHONE JUST FOR THAT PURPOSE. REPORTING ANY OF THEM DOES NOT WORK AND BEING ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST DOES NOT STOP THEM EITHER!!! TRY THE WHISTLE, IF NOTHING ELSE IT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER!!! LOL

I just googled that number, which is how I found this. We just got a robo-call from that number, giving the spiel about "...there is no problem with your credit card, but you may qualify for lower interest rates of (quoted rate was higher than we already have)," etc. "Push nine if you would like to speak with an agent and lower your interest rate..." The last time these kinds of unsolicited calls came in for my parents, we were hounded for months, with aggressive people trying to get us to let them "help" us. It was a big scam, and even though we could see that, and told them repeatedly to stop calling, they continued, and somehow managed to put some small charges on mom's credit card, which we had removed (we certainly never gave them any credit card info). Online I discovered many other people also had similar experiences, all very bad.

ANYway, this time I spoke with the agent (obviously in a boiler room with lots of other agents taking calls) and asked him for the name of the company, which he said was "Account Services" (how conveniently vague). He said they are in Orlando, FL. When I asked for a telephone number, he put me on hold and then after a few seconds--surprise!--the connection went dead. These are scumbags; do anything you can to keep them away from you and off your phone.

I keep getting these calls from this number as well, which shows up on my caller ID as a VOIP call. If you press 4 to speak with a customer service rep., and ask them to be removed from their calling list, they hang up. Don't bother calling this number back, as you will receive a response that the number is not assigned yet. I HAVE THE SOLUTION TO TAKE CARE OF THEM!

As stated above, this company is a customer of Paetec Communications. I stated the problem and the customer service rep looked up this number. The rep said that she has a lot of contact with this particular company and that she would call them to have my number removed from their calling list. She would not give out any other information about this company. To get in touch with a customer service rep from Paetec Communications caller fraud, call: 1-877-999-7705. Press option 3. Perhaps if enough people complain, Paetec will be more harsh with this company.

Also, register your number with the national do not call list at www.donotcall.gov I explained to the Paetec rep. that I want to report this company to the national do not call list, (Federal Trade Commission), as I have regsitered my number with it. I asked her if I could at least have a company name or number to report them with. The rep suggested that when I report them to the FTC, I should give them the number shown on caller ID. She said that they will be able to see that it is a number from Paetec, and the FTC can get more information from them to contact this company. Hope this helps.

I got a call from this same number asking if I wanted to lower my credit card interest. When I ask how much this was going to cost the gentleman told me there was no out of pocket expences for me when I ask him how much would be charged to the card for this service he hung up on me....to funny. Card Services is what they call them selves.

Peace
