Yeah, about 15 years ago I made a donation to the CT Special Summer Olympics, which I felt was most worthwhile, figuring it was a once a year fundraiser. Oh no, they have the Fall, Winter and Spring contests too, as well as other events sandwiched in between. After a couple of years I realized I had made 6 donations in 1 calendar year, and I caught on to their practices. Then our kids began a 9-10 year span of private college tuitions, no student loans. For a while I spoke to the person, apologizing for not being to donate. Well it's been 10+ years and they keep calling, I guess I'm on their list till I die (or drop my land line).
This person called when I wasn't home and left a message.
I swear to god all they said in the message was "I'm coming for you" in a erie, soft voice.
Do Not Call doesn't stop so-called non-profits from calling. They are exempt. If you have AT&T and have their "everything" plan...dial *60 and you can block the number from calling you...this feature rocks my world!
I called this number back and got a long winded recording. This is an organization seeking donations for various "charity" programs. Needless to say the message was cut short and I had no way of telling these people to stop calling me. Does the DO NOT CALL LIST still work?! I have updated it several times and these people seem to still be able to get through.
they had the balls to call on sundays FATHER DAY LOSERS
