they call every day. I am on the Do Not call list. Why should I press 1 to be added to their Do Not Call List?

This number calls my house almost daily. It is a robo-dialer. When you first answer the phone there is nothing there but silence. You have to say 'hello' several times before it responds. It plays an automated message claiming that you may be eligible for a 10% discount on your electricity service if you switch service providers. It prompted me to press '1' to be connected to a live agent to discuss my discount. After pressing '1' to be connected to a live agent it played yet another automated message prompting me to make sure I had my electric bill handy with my account number. A live agent finally answered and identified himself as 'Randy' and asked me for my account number with Connecticut Light and Power. I informed 'Randy' that I no longer wish to receive these calls and I would like my number removed from their call list. He interrupted me and said "so you don't want to save money on electricity?" and I again repeated my wishes to have my number removed and he said he would do so then said goodbye. I've been getting these calls for a long time. They are not affiliated with our power company.

They are selling "cheaper electrical rates." Their recording asks for you to have your electrical bill handy.
Spoke with a guy who said his company is called "Live Voice" He identified it s a "clearing house" and obviously an illegal call center that pays no attention to federal Do Not Call laws. I asked directly if "Live Voice" is an electrical supplier. No. So they're obviously a scam operator trying to get personal and private information from unsuspecting people while promising a service they do not provide.

Call ID says "Shelton CT"

Let the call go to voicemail. A blank message was left.

I saw this comment from another blog and it's the same as what I've been through so I tried it out and since it worked for this phone number, I copy/pasted to pass this solution on; When I search for a way to stop these calls a similar phone number came up with only the last digit different and a comment for it talked of a do not call request service. Here's the info that helped me too; I had them check this phone number to see if it was also on their list and it was so after giving them the receiving phone number a couple of days ago, the calls stopped. They can be reached at 866-246-7196 scam.
