Hi... I had posted about this phone number before, so I apologize if this is a "rehash." Anyway, I've been getting phone calls from this number 202-870-5878 for about a week now. They never leave a message. I did a "reverse look up", and found that this number is registered to a cell phone in Washington, D.C. I called the number; it is "CBE Group", which is a debt collection agency operating out of Iowa. It's difficult to tell if the company was "CBE" or "CDE" due to the fact that the voice on the phone which identifies this agency has a strong British or Australian accent. I did receive a letter from this company today (2-16-10), and they're trying to collect for an old Verizon Wireless bill. I'm in the process of filing bankruptcy, and all of this information has been given to Verizon numerous times. I just give them my bankruptcy attorney's name and phone number, and then I hang up the phone. This collection agency is trying to collect on a debt that is over 3 years old. These jerks will stop at nothing to try and collect their money, including harassment and threats.

Hello... I just posted a comment about "CDE"; it should be "CBE Group." The woman who identifies the company has a British or Australian accent, so it's difficult to tell whether or not she's saying "CDE" or "CBE" Group. Just another nasty debt collection agency!

This number has been calling my landline for approximately 5 days. They never leave a message. I did a "reverse look up" on WhitePages.com, and the listing shows that this number is a cell phone located somewhere in D.C. I called the number back, and I received a recording telling me to "hold"... The agent will speak to you soon. Anyway, I figured that they must be a collection agency; I'm in the process of filing bankruptcy, and these jerks must be attempting to obtain some money out of me. I just refer them to my attorney, and give these jerks my attorney's phone number. I then hang up the phone before the verbal abuse starts.
