Why are these people calling, in the first place? I finally block their number.

Call this number and speak to a live person. Tell them you want to be removed from their "calling list". Takes about 24 hrs. for calls to stop. 1-800-296-4529. Even if you are on the National Do Not Call Registry, the ACLJ gets phone numbers from bookstores, places where you may have made a donation or purchased religious items. Maybe Pat Robertson, Billy Graham, Dr. Dobson, etc.

I just did some research on the ACLJ, and decided I want nothing to do with them, and won't answer the phone from now on when they call, because they were founded by evangelical Pat Robertson, and basically they are interested in erasing the people's freedom to choose a life style suitable for the individual. They want everybody to think exactly like them. I'm a cantakerous old grandma who believes that people should be able to live their own life style as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else.

If you call back you will get a recording. At the end you will be given an option to remove your phone number from their call list.

Hung up before I answered. Listed as American Center for Law and Justice, they would have no reason that I know of to be calling me.

American Center for Law & Justice. Probably got my name and phone number from my subscription to Rush 24/7. You would think that they would know that as a conservative that I work during the day and do not wait for the phone to ring or government to send me a check.
