Ritz: Why are you asking for removal where the caller will never read it? Anyway, the key phrase is "Put me ON your internal Do Not Call list".

Michael and CK have otherwise stolen my thunder. The calls emanate from a "commercial fundraiser", hired by the not-really-non-profit, a dual slap at what the Federal DNC was created for if you ask me. The FTC does compel these firms to keep an "entity-specific" DNC list through the Telemarketing Sales Rule.

The AICR account has been handled by Akron's pride, Infocision. My question to all their charity group clients is this: What could you have accomplished with the ten million dollars the InfoCision chairman spent in 2008 to slap his company name on the new University of Akron stadium for two decades?

I receive calls from AICR at least once per day, using different numbers. The first 6 are the same, the last 4 are different sometimes.

Please get my number off the list.

These people are an abomination.

Calls are very irritating as no one in in the other end of the line. We absolutely refuse to donate to any charity resoring to this type of donor solicitation! So they are missing the mark Big Time!!

@Rob: The AICR is technically a charity and therefore exempt from the Do-Not-Call List law. If you don't like it, write to your Congressman and 2 US Senators about expanding the law to include "charities."

Be sure to tell him that there is only so much money people can give, and that with their enormous fundraising costs these professional for-profit telemarketers actually reduce the total amount of money that goes to charity in this country.

Non-Stop daily calls, sometimes twice a day for the last 6 weeks. They somtimes call from the 800 # which shows AICR, then they switch over to this number or other Washington DC numbers that do not identify the organization. Very deceptive trying to gain access to senior citizen mother and her money. Poorly rated organization by non profit rating agencies. Disgraceful tactics. Non Responsive to Do Not Call listing.

They have been calling my house daily (we do not answer). AICR is a poorly rated charity that spends too much of its revenue on fund raising and excessive salaries for its officers, see

http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=3264

I sent an email to them at aicrweb@aicr.org requesting that they stop calling my house. If that does not work, I'll file a complaint with the "do not call" registry

AICR phone calls have coming in daily from 202-607-2805 and 202-607-2763. I am on the National and State Do-Not-Call-List and find these calls annoying.
