Called indicated she/he was a police officer with the internal revenue service. I hung up. Very thick accent and was definitely reading from a script. Didn't ask for me by name or anything - just started speaking in a choppy manner. This must be a scam.
says he is from IRS Legal Dept, Guy sounded Indian and didn't have the greatest grasp of the English language. "Got this message on our machine today: "This is in reference to a criminal lawsuit filed against you. Your case number is CH94436. The moment you receive this message I need you or your attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My phone number is 202-559-6606. Do not disregard the message. Do return the call. Now, if you don't return the call and I don't hear from the attorney either, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you."
Appears to be a scam, like those you get in emails. Caller wants you or your attorney to call back ASAP, but doesn't say why. Just a bunch of vague nonsense...
Has some type of foreign accent.
