This number is an IC System # so ignore it....They also use an opinion survey that they try to pass off as a tv survey @ 202-552-1122...I had my ID stolen back in 2001 or so and have hired 3 different lawyers to stop this type of harrassment and the last time it was understood that if they tried to contact me again to pay a bill I did not make they would be sued, well, this collection agency did not contact me again but must have sold the debt to this bunch of pea brains...I do not answer their calls so they try all different means (#) to get me to ansswer the phone.....I'm waiting to get my credit report back and if they have been in it giving miss leading infor I will be hiring another attorney and this time someone is going to get sued. I would hate to think that I had such a low IQ that this is the only type of work I could find...So ignore the pea brains and what ever you do don't give them any personal account info or they will be into your account taking money that you did not give them permission to take....I wold say if they are harassig you to hire an attorney because they do not require any money for this type of suite. They take money only if they win a suit of this nature for you....

Call came from D.C. to Kansas at 19:20 hours on 9-25-08. Call not answered, but on another site, a poster followed through.

An automated voice asked only two questions and were to be answered by pressing 1 or 2. The questions were. 1. Do you frequently or infrequently watch local news programming? 2. Do you consider yourself Spanish speaking or other?

Harmless, but irritating. Although it's nice to know the illegal alien hoards will now get all kinds of junky telemarketer calls.

Several posts mention the Dove Foundation. Google Dove Foundation to find that it is a religion based foundation with the usual call for censorship in the name of wholesome family entertainment on TV and at the movies. They are based in Michigan. Contact info follows if you are interested. They will be more than happy to tell you what you should be watching on TV or seeing at the movies. Personally I prefer to make those decisions for myself.

I've used whocalled.us before so here is a try to give a little back.

Caller ID showed 202-552-1122. Voice mail stated "Frank Travis" calling about "what should be on TV." The tail end of the voice mail message after a very long, silent pause (most answering machines would have auto hung up after so many seconds of silence) stated "TV Survey 877-667-8982"

This is a legitimate survey from a known tele-survey company
http://www.surveyusa.com/

While no state prohibits surveys or research using Do Not Call lists, SurveyUSA does maintain an internal Do Not Call list that can accessed from their web site. (URL varies.)

All legitimate researchers and surveyors maintain internal DNC lists.

National and state DNC lists stop honest telenarketers, period. DNC lists do not stop all dishonest telemarketers nor do they stop researchers or surveyors. Dishonest telemarketers are going to call you no matter what you say or do.

For either surveys or sales calls, I suggest pressing whatever button on the phone it takes to get a live person, or being patient until they come on the line to ask that you be placed on their DNC. I suggest asking politely, letting them try to talk you out of it for a moment, then asking again.

The dishonest company is going to call back again and again under new and different names no matter what you do.

My "missed calls" just displayed the number, no name, as calling at 8:30 p.m. Mountain Time. I know people in 202 area code, so after checking "white pages.com" and finding it was an unlisted land line, I called it back an got a recorded message about a survey.

I just kept pushing buttons, which made the initial message replay over and over. . .might as well make them PAY for their long distance call.

The guy talked all the way through my answering machine message; then the message was repeated again and again. ID showed that it was a TV Survey. I note that one of the comments show that the Dove Foundation is involved some way. Since the Dove Foundation reports that they work to have good TV, it could be one of their calls. I have told the Dove Foundation over and over not to call again.

The Do Not Call listing program facilitated by the federal government is working so well that the telemarketers have to do something to subvert the system. The now stoop to the practice of phoning number they know are on the list, but instead of saying anything, they are silent on the line for a while then hang up or, if they get an answering machine, voicemail, or the line has caller ID, they hang up and hope that the party they called will return the call to inquire about the call or to ask that their number be removed from the company’s call list. What then happens is, when you file a complaint through the fed’s via the Do Not Call complaint process or you contact your attorney generals office, the company says that you called them and, pursuant to the rules of the Do Not Call law, if you call them they have the right to call you. Basically, your number no longer qualifies for the restrictions established by the Do Not Call law. Bottom line; NEVER call these companies back. If you receive a telemarketer call, check the number by using this site to verify that it is a telemarketer then go to the Do Not Call website and file a complaint against the company. After you file three complaints showing the company has phoned you three different times, the fed’s do something, I am not sure what, but the phone calls will stop! After all, that’s what you want right!

answered the phone. recording said they were a tv survey and needed our opinion. press one to continue. I pressed nothing hoping to get a live person to tell to not call again. again it said "I am not getting a response, please press one." After a few seconds it said sorry I am not getting a response. goodbye.

Caller ID said TV Survey. It is an automated caller wanting information on what TV shows you watch. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION! You don't know if this is government snooping or just some company developing a data base. Oh, and everyone complaining about being on the Do Not Call List? "Surveys," are one of MANY exemptions to the DNC list.

This automated calling maching said it was TV Survey. I am on the "Do not Call" list and do not want calls from them. I hung up but could not get a dial tone until the message finished. This should be illegal too. They should not be allowed to tie up my line after I hang up!

I got a call from this number on my cell phone and hung up on the recorded message. I later got a call from "The Dove Foundation" (see this link: http://www.whocalled.us/lookup/800-679-0336)
I've NEVER received a telemarketer call on my cell phone and I've had this number for 4+ years. Seems like they could be related.
