They called my office three times today and when I call back, it is buys signal...
We got a call from this number last week. You answer, say hello a few times to dead air, clicking, and then the line is disconnected. I star 69ed them, got the number, called it, got a bunch of "if you want such and such, press such and such a number". Fortunately, however, one of them was for being taken off of their list. I pushed that button, they said to enter the number I don't want called, I entered it, it was repeated back to me, I pressed the button for it being the right number, and was in effect promised that it wouldn't happen again. Haven't had any more calls from them. I don't know how my number gets on these lists if neither myself nor anyone else in my family put it there. If I ever find out that it's something I'm doing, I'll be sure to stop doing it. Otherwise, Payless Shoes seems to be a pretty reputable outfit. I bought my last pair of shoes there as a matter of fact.
tired of these same ol scam calls constantly,if the phone companies cared they could put a stop to this harressment for everyone, but obviously they dont care or someone is making big bucks allowing this crap.if we all disconnect our phones, bet someone would get it stopped!
This number called back twice. First time I looked at the caller ID and said the hell with this I don't know who this is. Then instantly they called back. I was annoyed by this time and answered, there was no one there. I said hello 3 times and then hung up. Total time on phone probably 20 seconds. I came online to google the number and this is what I found. I am on the do not call list and I have an unlisted number, so any calls I don't recognise I don't answer.
Caller ID said Payless shoes, but that's bull#@#%! It is a marketing firm in DC. They pretend to be payless shoes, and ask a lot of questions, when you refuse they hang up. Payless shoes was aquired in 2007 by the STRIDE RITE CO......This is total bullsh&^!
I am on the do not call registry - this is a violation of that!

Call from 202-495-7108 caller ID: Payless Shoes
machine answered but no message.
silence following a hang up
CALL CORPORATE AT 877-474-6379
AND ASKED TO BE REMOVED FROM THIS LIST. I BELIEVE THE DEPARTMENT WAS "DCSD". DO NOT LET THE SLAVE WHO ANSWERS THE MAIN SUPPORT LINE DISTRACT YOU! PUSH AND PUSH UNTIL YOU ARE TRANSFERRED TO SOMEONE WHO GETS PAID MORE AND IS AUTHORIZED TO ASSIST YOU.
I WASTED ABOUT 25 MINUTES OF *THEIR* TIME HAVING THIS DONE. IF EVERYONE DOES THE SAME THEY WILL STOP THIS PRACTICE!
REQUEST TO HAVE CORPORATE VERIFY YOUR NUMBER IS IN THE DATABASE. THEY WILL REMOVE YOUR NUMBER AND TAG IT AS DO-NO-CALL TO PREVENT IT FROM BEING RE-ADDED.

Received a call from this number today. Definitely a do not call violation. I called the number back and received a recorded message. I opted to have my telephone number removed so that they will not call again. We'll see if it works.
Received a call, answered the phone, listened for a moment then nothing. Very disturbing~
18 seconds of silence before I hung up.
Yes, definitely violation of DoNotCall laws. On my call I could press 3 to be removed rather than have to call a separate number. I'm calling Payless corporate tomorrow to complain (just tried, but already closed). If interested as well, their corporate number in Kansas (from website under Corporate/Contact Us is 785.233.5171, 9a-5p Central.
yes a violation of do not call but a DC based call to San Diego with a request to call an 800 number if you want to be taken off. I assume a scam that seems to be going around. When you call back they put you on hold and bill you number.
No one responds when I pick up the phone.

Payless Shoes. I pushed 3 to be removed.
I'm reporting them now. dotnotcall.gov
Payless Information Line. Not sure how they got this number.
A recorded ad for a Payless Shoe Store sale.
Probably not Payless itself but some marketer they hired. This was a Do Not Call violation.
