Q. is are you registered to vote and if yes are you for or against ProLife. No greeting/thanks or anything except the automated caller hangs up. Very rude and unprofessional. I finally answered after inumerable nuisance calls to our number while not at home.
Caller was FEC2009SRCH.
Called my cell phone twice over the weekend; 9/5/09 and 9/7/09, around the same time, 6:00pm. Voice mail is a recording that says "This is a political survey. We may call you later." Imagine my dismay when I got to work and the same recording was left on my direct dial work number twice on 9/5/09 and 9/7/09 as well. Also, they left the same message on other direct dial numbers in my office. Seems like some sort of scam or political dirty trick. I reported it to the FTC and would recommend everyone else do the same since it only takes a few minutes.
Sure wish Congress would stop excepting themselves.
Do you know why congresspersons and senators work so hard to get re-elected? They know how difficult it would be to work for a living outside the legal shelter they've erected for themselves.
I believe the no-robocalls FTC regulation that went into affect 8 days ago exempts political spamming, of course, among a few other groups causing nuisances.
Called my cell phone twice in three days. I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message.
They have called several times, on my unlisted number in NH, September 2009. I'd like to know how they got it! The message says "This is a political survey. We may call back." Wonder if they'd like to pay for my cell phone minutes... grrrrr....
Called me on 9/5/09. Pre-recorded political survey. I hung up before listening to any questions.
I was stupid enough to answer, thought it was someone from work. It was a survey, they asked two questions: Are you registered to vote? Are you pro-life? I answered yes on the first question. When I heard the second question, I didn't say anything, the robo call just said thank you and hung up. They didn't even say who was calling or who was sponsoring the survey.
Received a call on my work cell phone this past Sunday afternoon, but didn't answer. The only thing in voice mail was a male electronic voice saying "...we may call back". They obviously do, because this is the 3rd time in the past 2 weeks that they did. I also been getting a flood of calls from Haymarket, VA and Brodnax, Va using different #'s over the past 2 weeks on my land line. Since I'm on the Do Not Call list, I assume it's either a charity or political-related call.
Caller Identified as Friends of Chris Peace, Virginia Congressman running for Re- election. Called this Morning and asked if I was Registered to Vote, then went into this spiel.
Think it is being used By ALL Republican Candidates running for Re-election. Sounds like something they would do; Robo calls have started & the election is when ? November... Never a moments rest.. STOP CALLING ME !!!
Left message asking to know if I would vote for Obama. Said they may call back.

They called a secure line & we traced it to Cavalier Telephone. They claim a Washington, DC telephone return number but we are not sure if Cavalier even sells in the Washington,DC market. Will check back when we find out further details, this seems Bogus & the NEW LAW forbidding ROBOCALLS goes into affect September 1,2009
computerized english voice asking if I was registered to vote.
