Yeah "Juan" said the same thing about how he works for the government and is calling to refund $7000 and blah blah asking for my bank account number. So I lost my sh#t on this guy and then he starts saying he'll deliver it in cash to my house immediately... um since when does the government hand deliver cash? Then he threatened me, then he told me to f#ck him for $7000. So yeah I can't wait til someone tracks him down.
reporting I was selected for a federal government grant of $10,000 at no risk, then started asking for personal information to complete the application
This person called my cell phone, claims to be with the US government. He says that I was selected for a 10000 dollar grant, one of 1740 candidates due to the fact that as of December last year I have paid all my bills on time including my taxes, and that I have not claimed bankruptcy in the last 6 months. I tried to explain to him that I was driving and couldn't answer any of his questions. I asked if he could send me a link to an email account to review the details when I had time after getting home. He then tried to ask personal information to process the application. I again informed him I was driving and wouldn't give him this information. He was very difficult to understand, had a very heavy accent and a lot of background noise, (call center chatter). He replied ok and would call back later.
I pressed decline because it seemed like a very odd number
Someone called me from this number and told
That she is calling from US Government . Also I have been granted $7000 as grant .
I just asked her can you email everything to me and she disconnected the call.

How do I know that this call is legitimate?
