As soon as I heard the voice saying "Oh, yeah, I called you yesterday," with its little Southern twang, I pressed delete. I've gotten calls from them off and on for months, even though I'm on the Do Not Call Registry. As I remember it, they're trying to induce people to take out loans of some sort. They make it sound like you called them, thinking that either you're:

1. stupid
2. gullible (i.e., will think something along the lines of "wow, this sounds like a great deal, even if it is a wrong number")
