Meyer Associates Teleservices is one of the most unethical companies that I've ever worked for. The day I walked out I felt like a million tons had been lifted off of my shoulders.

This company is hurting for contributions, so they have started a program of systematically bullying potential contributors into giving money. They will call you once a day, every day until you either give something, or you demand to be taken off of their list. You will not be taken off of their calling lists. They cloak themselves in the fact that they are a poltical organization and they are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry.

If you receive a call from a Meyer rep, and you feel like they are rude, don't. They are doing what they are being instructed to do for fear of losing their jobs. Many of them would walk out in a heartbeat if there were any other jobs in the area to be had. This is what Meyer Associates counts on. Keeping their employees in a constant state of fear for their jobs. Meyer Associates opened their call center in Eveleth, MN where the economy is based almost totally on iron mining. These mines have laid off hundreds of people and there are more lay off sure to come in the future.

If you have requested to be removed from their calling list and are still receiving calls, contact the Federal Communications Commission and let them know that Meyer Associates is violating the law. This is the only way that you will get them to stop calling, and I'm sure that the employees would appreciate it greatly.

I had another job to go to, but many of the people who are still working there do not. If you don't want to talk to them, just say no and hang up. I can assure you that they will understand and they will thank you for it.

d4d.org is behind these calls. they also call from 201-474-2953, d4d stands for "Dollars for Democrats". Go there and fill out the don't call form, using webmaster@d4d.org as an email address. That way, every time they try to spam you, it will spam themselves.. lol

What a bunch of grubs!

This phone No. is used by Meyer Associates Teleservices automated system to repeatedly call until you answer or call back. Other numbers used by Meyer that I know of are:206-438-4148,320-656-4105,201-474-2953, 781-795-2211.Meyer Associates is a political survey company with abusive telephone tactics. The calls can almost drive you crazy. Companies like Meyer Ass. Teleservices should be outlawed. Call your Congressional reps and ask them to remove all exemptions from the Do Not Call law. Until this loophole is remove, the telephone spammers will continue unabated. Meyer website is Callmeyer.com; use it at your own risk.

bantraith,
They called me back agin today, left yet another message and I do not like it either.
How is calling Health Survey USA back going run up their bill when it is not a toll free number?
Maybe you can file harassment charges against them.

There is an unfortunate gap in the Do Not Call Registry laws.
"Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls." http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt107.shtm

Two calls so far, same recorded message, saying that they are calling to make sure we are given the "chance" to participate in a health survey in my state. Offers an option to press 1 or 2, depending on whether you want to take the survey. Also states that if you should come home and find this message on the machine that you should know that they will call back in a few days, since they want to make sure you don't miss your chance to take part, ending with "talk to you soon" in an overly cheery tone.

Give me a break!!! Not only do they annoy the hell out of you, but they let you know right up front that they will continue calling. For my part, I just let them continue leaving the same overly cheery message, then hit erase on the answering machine. It's their dime...let them waste it.

Have received 47 calls from them in a 15 day period-have told them I am not interested in their survey and do not call-they will not stop-so I figure I'll call them back when they are closed and run up their bill-if they are annoying you do the same-that's the only way to get these phone leeches to go away-make them pay.
