They wont stop calling pretty annoying. I have never answered or purchased anything from them. I dont see why anybody thinks its ok to repeatedly call someone who has never answered I hope they all lose their crappy little phone jobs and go into poverty

They call me periodically, and have started up recently. I bought the Atlantic Monthly from them in December of 2007 and just got my final issue the other day. I looked in Quicken and I paid $39.95 for close to three and half years of a GREAT magazine. Last year I renewed National Geographic through them for $29.95 for 11 issues (they didn't offer the regular 12 that I always get directly through Nat Geo for $35) and they made some contribution to Special Olympics although I don't know how much. So, all in all, I'm fine with them calling me. They don't offer the Economist, or Reason, or some of the more obscure special interest ones, but the $39.95 for the Atlantic made them okay by me. Just be aware, they will continue to call you, but it's only like once every six months or once a year, but if you answer and say you don't need anything right now, they won't call until the next campaign. And you really can get some good deals on magazines if that's your thing, which in my case, it is. They aren't a scam.

i have been recieving these calls for MONTHS! they might stop for awhile, but then be back on in full force a few months later. they call just about every day, varying hours. they even called me on thanksgiving, as well as the weekend after that. what the heck?! anywhere from 9am to 6 pm they will call. i was getting SO fed up with them, i didn't even answer when i saw them on caller ID anymore.
just called the 800 # i've seen in these posts. got a foreign-sounding operator, she wasn't particularly pleasant, but at least she wasn't rude or tried to sell anything, get me to start again i 6 mos, etc etc.
she just said i may recieve another call while it's being processed but once processed, i wouldn't recieve any more calls from them. FINALLY!!! :) thanks so much for the 800 #!!!

Dial America calls me at all hours and I am sick of it. I never answer and think that should indicate they need to stop!

This company calls once or twice daily. DNC allows it to call. Very annoying, very persistant. And very unwelcome. I will never have any business relationship with them, for any reason, and will do everything I can do legally to get them to stop calling me. When you dial the 1 800 number, hit 5 to avoid the menu and get a real person. give your name, address and phone number, and the calls are supposed to stop. At least that's what they told me. Believe me, I'll be back to let everyone know if the problem still exists after a week.

OMG its every single day! so irritating. if I dont answer, they don't leave a message. If I do answer and I tell them I am on the do not call list they just keep on blabbering like they are deaf.

We, too, are on the Do Not Call List -- and we continued to get calls from this no. (yes, Dial America is right) When I found these suggestions on this website, I decided to call the 800-931-3765 no. and was greeted with a polite lady who started into her script -- which I soon interrupted. The offer was made to remove us from the "current campaign" and then reinstate us in 6 mos. No thanks! So we are now OFF the list. We appreciate the advice given to call that 800 no. -- they were on the verge of being too annoying to me!

I bought a mag 6 months ago to help out one of their 'charities'... now I'm stuck on thier list. Tonight they call me to sell another magazine, I told them I can't buy anything that I just lost my job and we have cut back and she hung up on me!! I can help their charity, but when I'm down on my luck, they can't even be bothered to stay on the phone for an extra 2 secs to say 'so sorry, thanks anyway'!! I called 800-931-3765 to remove from the list, she was very nice and apologized.

If you call 1-800-931-3765, they will very quickly and nicely remove you from their calling list. I have bought from them before, and they are legit as far as charitable contributions go. You get confirmation letters from the charities thanking you, etc. Their ridiculous number of calls are too much though.

I see a lot of comments about being on the Do Not Call Registry, however, you need to read what the DNC list covers and what it does not. The DNC list does not cover charitable organizations or marketing firms. So places like DialAmerica can call and call and call as much as they want. I think we all need to demand more from our governement to stop these unwanted calls as well.

Get calls constantly but now that I know what they do, magazine sales, I understand why they're calling. I bet one of my magazine subscriptions are done through them or an affiliated company. Still don't answer. If it's important they'll leave a message.

Several years ago I agreed to buy a magazine subscription from one of those "underpriveleged" kids walking around our neighborhood. I've been getting these calls ever since. I will NEVER buy another one!

This is Dial America-magazine sales for charities. If you call 800-931-3765 they will remove your name from their calling lists when asked to do so. The operator was to the point, but not rude.

if you call 800-931-3765 a grumpy operator will tell you that they will take your name off their call list.

I have been receiving numerous phone calls from them over the last several weeks. Today i lost my patience. I am on DO NOT CALL LIST which works very well by the way. I just e-mailed DialAmerica to take me off their list and filed a complaint about them at DO NOT CALL web site.
