Did not answer, but it's not a number I recognize.
These people are demons! They use so many different numbers there is no way to block them all.
They hang up when I picked up so I called the number. The recorded message gave me an 888 number for their customer service aand I called them. It was an attempt to support Mothers Against Drunk Driving by subscribing to a magazine. I don't need any more magazines. She told me the problem was with their outbound call center and I suggested they get it fixed.
Two separate times, the phone rang and, when I picked up, they hung up. Apparently they don't want my business.
Got a call from 201-373-8321. Answered, but didn't answer any questions...call was from DialAmerica MKT

I am receiving repeated harassing calls from this organization and when ever they can't control the conversation or I request information from them they will hang up, it's the same routine every time. I began tracking what time the calls come in and under which name the caller ID displays. Above is the list compiled so far of the numbers and caller ID information displayed. They are rotating the numbers they use about every 30 days. The DNC (Do Not Call Registry) gives companies with newly registered numbers a 30 day grace period before taking complaints or taking action against them from complaints (loop hole).
Doing some more research and on the communication companies they're using.

I am proud to say that I worked for Dialamerica for a number of years. Dialamerica is a very professional company, so they do not intentionally "hang up" on any of their clients. Dialamerica simply contacts you as a courtesy to offer a service of benefit to you. Even if you "are" on the "Do not call Registry", the law allows for companies that you do or have done business with in the past to contact you, which is the reason for the call. Dialamerica calls you on "their" behalf.
I have been called too. I'm on the DNC list nationally.
FYI~ Every 5 years in my state I have to renew the DNC.
To the person defending this company here, If I want something I'll
seek out a company. I have the right like everyone else to not be
solicited. In this case, 'dialamerica' doesn't do anything but ring my phone.
If I answer, it/they hang(s) up. Sounds like a real caring legit company to me. NOT
Contact your Attorney General's office. They will send you a form to make a complaint.
Don't forget to renew your Do not Call every few years.
Being on the DNC list doesn't stop a few companies from calling,A it's very annoying.
In dialamerica's case.... I have no clue what they want, don't care and want them to stop.
I have filled out the Attorney General complaint form, hope that stops this.
It rang three times and the machine never picked up. This has happened several times-they call and don't let it go to machine.
Dial America Marketing sells magazine subscriptions under the pretense that all the proceeds go to Mothers Against Drunk Driving or some other good cause. This is just another scam to sell you something. Less than 1% of any profits will go to any good cause other than to fleece their own pockets
Told them I was the local police department, they hung real quick !
They didn't leave a message.
I keep getting calls from this woman telling me to "Quit Playin" with her, and that I need to talk to my "Sista and to the Fatha". I am not sure the reasoning behind this, but apparently it is their new marketing campaign.
Have called me several times and like others, hang up after a couple of rings. Caller ID says, "Hackenack, NJ". I called the number listed below 888-409-7634
(THANKS FOR THAT!!) and asked for my number to be removed from their calling list. The man was very polite and cordial, but said I may receive calls for a couple of more days yet, but my number would be removed.
CJ- By all means lets all buy from this company because they give people jobs. I'll also buy from every company that makes a crappy product becuase after all they have employees. Let's just get it all over with and switch to a communist style of government. If they represent legitimate businesses I have dealings with or legitimate charitable organizations then say so when I pick up the phone and don't hang up when I ask if there is a message for my wife. Bottom line is the company makes money by bothering people and then not even having the courtesy to be polite. Get over yourself.
I got a call at my business today from this company. I read cj's comments above. My problem with this is that I'm on the DNC list - period. If I want to donate money, I do so on my own terms, not a stranger's on the other end of the phone who may be in Nigeria. The Bottom line is this, don't waste my time with your calls, thus making me lose money while I'm at my business - especially if you're going to hang up on me after the second ring.
Called and asked if there was an adult in the house over the age of 18. Then continued on to say she was from DialAmerica and it was not a telemarketing thing.. said it was a survey about Leukemia/Lymphoma. Told her I was busy currently and she said she would call back. Didn't answer second time. No message left.
I was actually stupid enough to order from them once, never received a thing. Avoid these people.
Listened to my message and then hung up.
dial america mkt , I did not pick up. I am on the no call list but they call regardless.
Just got a call from them and they were laughing the entire time, they asked for my husband and I said "No, I don't think so" and hung up. Very unprofessional.
I have started to ignore
all these calls
Maybe you should research a litte before bashing a company because your phone rang a couple of times. Maybe you should think about the economic consequences to the working class when you try to shut down a legitimate, legal business because your phone rang a couple of times. Geesh. Bottom line is Dialamerica cares about people more then their bottom line and this is coming from someone who is no longer employed with them. Give them a break. Maybe you should focus your complaints on the stipulation that was added to the DNC list that it does not apply to political phone calls. You can add your number ot the DNC but the politicos (who are looking out for you) don't have to abide by it. Just the legitimate telemarketing companies that follow the rules. If telemarketing is outlawed only outlaws will telemarket. Focus your energy on the self serving scam companies out there, Dialamerica IS one of the few good ones who do comply and DO CARE about people.
They honor the DNC list but mistakes happen and numbers get through, most likely the mistake is not on the part of DM but on the part of the agency reporting the numbers to them (your gov.) They employ over 8000 telephone reps who would more then likely be on the welfare role if it weren't for the job opportunity they have. Lets push Dialamerica out of business so that these workers can feed off of your tax dollars instead or, maybe we should force Dialamerica to outsource overseas and they can then conduct business in India and still call you anyway. Its funny that Dialamerica was a backer of the new federal do not call rules which included the national list. Their President Mr. Conway testified in support of the do not call list at the Senate hearings. How many other telemarketing companies do you think supported this action. Its really like biting the hand that feeds you. Dialamerica helped get the people the do not call list because guess what?,,, they DO CARE about people. Continued Below -
I worked for Dialamerica for over 5 years and believe me they are a reputable telemarketing company. This company places millions of phone calls every week for companies that many of you have your retirements invested in. Bank of America, Verizon, Bell South, Chase Manhattan etc. They have raised hundreds of millions of dollars for organizations like Special Olympics, MD Anderson Childrens Cancer Research Hospital, Mother Against Drunk Driving to name a FEW. - Continued Below -
Deaf puppy scam. They use bogus AAA Travelers Checks. Watch Out!!
I'm tired of these calls. I answered the phone. When she asked for my wife, I told her she must have the wrong number because this is a Pizza Hut. I'm really getting tired of these calls. Especially the ones associated with political organizations.
Definitely a magazine
4 times in a row and left
no message. Won't bother
answering when they call
did not leave a message on Answering Machine.....
PS whenever you ask to be removed from a call list, be sure to say you want your # removed PERMANENTLY, otherwise they are only required to remove it for 1 year.
I called the 888 number, a very courteous (!) woman said she would remove the number from their call list.
"There are 0 calls ahead of you. Expected wait time, 1 minute" um??
It's Dial America, they want a donation for a "charitable" organization. Don't answer, wish they'd get the message....STOP CALLING ME!!!
The caller asked to speak to my wife. When told I'm her husband and would take a message as she was unavailable the caller said she would call back. When I asked if I could let my wife know who called, the caller hung up.
They call everyday but don't say a word. Stupid
I do not want to be called anymore, so make sure that it doesn't happen again

It shows up as unknown number and they never leave a message.
calls everyday..They hang up
They have called several times but no message?
I received a call from this number now every other day for the past two weeks. It seems when a new telephone number is issued, these telemarketers waste no time in being annoying and calling at dinner time or several times throughout the day. It seems that no matter if you are on the do not call lists, telemarketers do not seem to honor this list.
Cathy Boykin Oct 19th, 2006
201-373-8321 called twice today, in the morning and in the evening!!
About two weeks ago we have had our phone turned on and we have been receiving a deluge of calls from telemarketers, area codes in Minnesota, North Carolina, Hackensack, NJ, …, and many others only display an 800 number.
Apparently Verizon has sold our number at the time of assigning it to us, or perhaps shortly before that. We have requested that inclusion in the DO NOT CALL list, but the catch is that one has to wait 31 days until it takes effect.
10-17 10:23 am
dont know who they are didnt answer this time but similar #s have just hung up when answered
hangs up before recorder comes on.
Was on our caller ID. Didn't answer it and did a Google search. No luck.

The wife hung on on them, I've had this # only a week (Comcast Digital Voice), and 3 telemarketing calls already. I found this site in a search for the #(201)373-8321.

No message ... just a hang-up. They have called three times in the last 3 days. Caller ID simply says the call is from Hackensack, NJ.
I'm on the do not call registry and received a call from this number at 6:37pam on Aug 11, 2006. They didn't say anything and hung up. I then dailed *69 and got the number.
I am refuse to pick up any more phone calls from these people. I am getting a two or three calls a day from Telemarketers. I have been on the Do Not Call List for since day one! I have just started in the past two weeks getting 10 calls a day. I checked I am still on the do not call list. So, I am reporting them!
DIALAMERICA MKT, magazine market, she said something about helping to fight drunk driving and wanted me to order at least one magazine. I told her I didn't want to do that right now, she kept talking and I said "thank you for calling" and hung up. LOL
