Brenda, the DNC registry can't help you. The federal Do-Not-Call registry exists to help enforce the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Please note the operative term ''marketing''. A debt collector is not a sales person. Here are the DNC service terms you were supposed to review at registration time:

They are trying to collect a debt supposedly from a mans name I never heard of . Try to call back the 800# they left which is 800-414-8139 and only get busy signal. Try to call back caller ID...same thing busy signal. This is a scam I feel. And I'm on the do not call list. They leave messages on my machine and when you pick up phone its a computer no live person. Very Frustrating.

Whee you answer, no one is there, when you try to return the call, you get a rapid busy signal.

its coming frpm 201-308-9271 and displaying ASTA FUNDING, saying they are palasades collections,telling a person that doesn't live here to call 1-800-414-9319
