They have been calling me from this number and 201-266-0092 saying they were from "scholastic school funding group" to send me some required "federal" documents. However, they didn't even know that I am still in graduate school, then she asked for my SS number!!! NO WAY! SCAM SCAM they keep calling, I call back no answer, or they hang up on me!

I also received a call from an asian-sounding woman from the Scholastic something corp. She said she was with the federal department of education and that, being that I'm a college student (I made the mistake of telling her) am qualified to get reduced rates on my loans. She verified my address, name, and home number and needed my federal loan account number which she said is the same as my social security number to finalize the transaction. I was uncomfortable with giving my ss# but she reassured me that this message was recorded by the department of education and that we both would be transferred to them. I still wasn't comfortable but she kept insisting that it was legit. I asked her for a number and name so that I could call her back. She gave me the number 201-266-0092, when asked for a name, said a name real quick that sounded like Cair (rhymes with air), said she'll try back tomorrow, and hung up real quick before i could say anything. I too have taken kaplan related exams for a teaching credential (the cbest and cset). Maybe that's how that received my info. BASTARDS! STOP.. PLEASE!

Call me several times a day. I have asked them to remove me, but they persist. Today one of the calls was at 7:30 am our time zone. This is annoying.

They will keep calling. They don't listen. Every time I've gotten called, I've told them to remove us from their list.

They call everyday, even after being asked to be put on their "do not call registry". Today I told them I did not like giving my social and the phone rep, Rebecca Moralez I.D. # 851 told me she would give me her social in exchange for it. This is ridiculous and reinforces the bad vibe I got from them from the beginning. However, I decided to play their game and get what information from them I could by acting interested. I told them I wanted more info about the company because in the past I have called the number they gave me and reached the recording saying "this message box is full" so Rebecca transfered me to Steve Sanchez, Supervisor I.D. # 637. I asked him for an 800 number. He put me on hold to see if the 800 number was "up and running"- this too is very strange. What legit company does not have an 800 # to give out. Then told me it was and gave me this # 866-362-3492. He also gave me a website scholasticfundinggroup.com. These people do not stop calling no matter how many times you request being taken off their call list.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION.

If you call Scholastic Funding Group at 866-362-5659 they will verify that this annoyance is indeed being generated by one of their numbers. Ask for James & ask him to take you off their list.

Same as above comments, mostly. I asked repeatedly what the purpose of the call was, and the only reply was to inform me of loan options by mail. When I said I wasn't interested, the caller hung up abruptly.

I got a call tonight asking for Mr. and Mrs. (lastname). She asked me if my parents were home. I asked her if this was important and she said yes of course (with a laugh). She asked if my mom was home I said she doesn't live here and then she asked about my dad and I said he lived in California, then she started to ask if I graduated from highschool or collage. I said I don't go to school, I work. She said you never went to collage? I said no. She finally hung up. VERY RUDE, I figured something was fishy. Do not give any info to these people.

They did the same thing to me. The gentlemen who spoke foreign accented English kept insisting that it's the federal government. He wanted my ssn. I refused to give him information. He would not give up until I just hung up.

They called about consolidating student loans for someone else. Itold them i have never heard of this person. Them she told me that I personally had an outstanding loan. Now the funny part is I have never taken out a loan in my life. So how would they know if i never gave them my name.

They call atleast 4 or 5 times a day about consolidating student loans and don't listen when I ask them to not call again. When I call back the number a message comes up saying "this message box is full." It is really strange, don't give them any information.

I have been receiving calls from this alleged Scholastic Funding Group from the bogus number 201-266-0092. They will not give me a number, address only a bogus website as a reference to their business. I reported them to the AZ Attorney General's office. I urge everyone to do the same.
