These people are relentless, it is XM sirrus radio, my daughter and I each bought new cars with a free trial, didn't ask for it, wasn't told about it , and would never even consider paying for radio in my car. They have called so many times, I didn't ever answer, I could sue them for the calls and at 1500 dollars per call I could pay off both our new cars because they call everyday, somtimes multiple times a day, never leave a message. If it continues after the free trial runs out, I just might see a lawyer, and let them pay off our new cars. I don't think they should be allowed to put there trial service in vehicles without the consent of the buyer, and I think the dealerships should at least have to tell you its installed, and cancel it at the time of purchase.

They stole peoples social security. They had that and my previous address. They said i had debt from 5/3 bank and that the acct was under my and the ex's name from 2012. They said they would send someone to sign paperwork. Told them if i feel its a scam, i'll hold the person at gun point until the police came. They hung up and called back saying i could settle this by sending a gift card for $1500 or giving them all my debit card information so they can deduct the money. They said they were submitting paperwork to take my house if i didnt do that. I let them know i have not had a back acct since 1999 and the house went to the ex back in 2000. They argued that it was a legitimate debt. Called 5/3 and they agreed i've never had any account with them. Called them back and they kept hanging up when i brought up their scam. Dont fall for this. They sound legitimate but every time they answer its "legal department, or "sherman services" or attourneys office. I called them back and they claimed i was threatening them but i never made a threat so they changed it to im harrasing them. I told them i was not harrasing them but i would call all afternoon. They said they would call authorities and report me. I told him i was outside waitjng for them so i could tell them about the scam. They hung up so i kept calling.

According to search I did, 443-927-2544 is supplied by Broadwing communications in Baltimore. No owner info unless I pay for it.

I am receiving text daily or at least, every other day. They address the name Juan or Juan Valdez in an attempt to get a person to reply, even sending links.

Feels like a PHISHING EXPEDITION. I do not engage, just delete. Seriously thinking about the "Up to $1500 per unwanted text or call".

The number is being cloned from a power company in Maine. If you live in or outside Maine, beware!!! They called me in Pennsylvania at my business and said they were PP&L (an area power company). I found this article online and it is exactly what happened to me!

"STATEWIDE (WGME) Central Maine Power is warning customers about a surge of calls from scam artists calling you and demanding money.
CMP confirms scammers have picked up their efforts to get you to turn over your hard earned money. Gail Rice told CBS 13 the company has received hundreds of reports about these kinds of calls.
They say people are calling home and business customers, warning that service will be disconnected if they don't purchase and send a pre-paid debit card. In some cases, the callers tell customers they haven't received a recent payment and to pay again.
CMP said the callers are also using spoof caller ID systems to make the call look like it's coming from CMP."

They were calling multiple businesses on the same block we are on today and was successful of scamming $1500.00 from a business!
If you think you may have been scammed, call your local police department and report it to the Federal Trade Commission.

The recording repeats a couple of times, then hangs up on you. There is no way to talk to anyone. Obviously any company that answers their phone this way is a scammer! They have been calling from 225-424-2243, 443-602-8127, 616-828-5965, 508-425-4617, and 620-842-9049 about business loans. BTW, Panasonic makes some good call blocking cordless phone sets, such as the KX-TG454 SK or KX-TG465 SK which both block up to 250 phone numbers. The Ooma phone system blocks 254 personal phone numbers and thousands more on their community blacklist. The T-Lock Call Blocker, which connects to your phone line, blocks 1500 phone numbers. You should check them out on eBay or Amazon (or Google them) if you want to block telemarketing calls. Hope this helps.

Merchants' Choice is a well known merchant processing scammer who charges excessive rates and hidden fees, and holds back a large amount of your funds for charge-backs. They use deceptive sales practices and scare tactics to sell new credit card machines to companies. The BBB of Greater Houston and South Texas has received 87 complaints about Merchants Choice Payment Solutions in the past 3 years. Caller ID shows 800 Service. Robo-call recording stating that an application for a $1500 payday loan had been approved. No one in the household applied for such a thing. It wanted me to hit 1 to accept the loan and speak to someone to have it processed, or hit 9 to receive no further notification. I hit 9, but got no confirmation that I wouldn't hear back from them again. I am on the National Do Not Call registry and since no one here contacted them, they should never have contacted me.

This company calls several times each day telling me that my application has been approved for up to $1500 loan. I asked them (her) what made her assume that I had applied for a loan? I told her, as I had told the rep who called the day before and the day before that; that I had not applied for any loan. I requested to be removed from their list and not to call me again. They have only called me three (3) times since - that was 2 hours ago. HOW DO WE MAKE THEM STOP??

They called and said the truck was 30 mins away and enroute to disconnect my electric. THey said my bill was $1500 overdue and had to paid immediately. THey said once I paid, I would get reimbursed for any amount I could prove I had paid within 3-5 bus days. When I asked to verify my account number, they gave me a bogus number that wasn't my account number. When I told them I wasn't going to pay anything until I could verify they were DTE, they hung up. I called back and a lady answered the phone DTE. When I asked for her street address, she hung up. Total Scam City... And they call after hours where you can't verify anything with DTE

ANNE GLASCOTT - DEBT COLLECTOR AKA. PAMELA TAMOL

Pamela Tamol - clearly a crazy dyslexic person who has some deep psycological issues. A woman who lives a disgusting lifestyle, She has an STD - Chlamydia. Her house is disgustingly dirty and a pack rat might I add. Maybe even a hoarder. She gets her gas turned off because she doesn't pay her bills. She has not made a mortgage payment on her home (estimated $1500.00/month) in almost over two years. Pending foreclosure. Her bogus refinance/loan modification is a sham. An excuse/delay tactic to not be evicted.

She leaves her menstrual blood all over the toilet in her house. Gross. Maybe she has done this at her workplace too. She picks her nose and wipes on her car seat. Disgusting. Her va**na has a discharge of fluid/smells of something so terrible. She claims she was raped at 15 years old but she enjoyed it I am sure. She has two babies and two different daddies. This explains alot about her. She is a raging lunatic who is very aggressive towards her children, especially her disabled 15 year old son who managed to failed every course in grade 9. This is a parenting issue. Pamela has some violence issues which need to be addressed, She has currently enrolled in counselling to help her cope and understand her mental problems. She seeks pity on her soul.

So is this like an enemy of my enemy is my friend scenario? You obviously dont know much about me. Her being a w***e and having an std. Good for her. Shes someone elses problem now. Hench why I left her. Not the other way around. Bro chalk this up to a loss and move on. I knew she was crazy. Thats nothing new to me. Shes ok at first and has a few great "talents" so does every other woman out there. My suggestion is mess around with a stripper next. Thats what I did and it pissed her off lol. Younger better model. I know she took my laptop and I know she saw the pics of me and that new chick. Good luck with everything. Again from a pam surviver just cut all ties. Shes Nuttier than squirrel s***. CPS Child Protection Services of Erie County has been alerted of alleged child abuse and mistreatment of her children Evan Tamol (aged 15) and Seth Seaver (aged 5).PAMELA TAMOL OF 45 ERIE STREET, LANCASTER, NEW YORK 14086. According to the complaint and witness statements, Pamela is verbally and physically abusive towards her children. On one incident, Pamela had thrown a blunt object (iPad) towards her 15 year old sons head in a sudden outburst. Pamela has destroyed her sons iPad on 3 occasions according to the statement. Pamela has also made threats to "beat the shit" out of her son if he failed to comply with her demands. Pamela has smashed his television in his bedroom and lamp, broken glass all over the hallway while her 5 year old son sits and watches in terror his mother use violence towards her oldest son. She has also removed his clothing from his bedroom and removed his personal belongings for discard. Pamela is a ticking time bomb. She needs intervention immediately to respond to her actions. According to her son, Evan, Pamela has had multiple men come and go, move into the house, and fail once the conflict and true character of Pamela is revealed.

Pamela has also surrounded her own children around a convicted sex offender of children. His name is "Oscar". Pamela also claims when she was 15 years old that she was raped. According to other sources, Pamela was sexually active at the age of 15 and had sex with an older man. The state of New York prosecuted for statutory rape. Otherwise, if a woman is raped, and its not wanted, then why would you keep the child? Pro Choice? No. Because the truth was distorted. She further claims her oldest brother molested and assisted in the rape. Now, Pamela has made some extreme allegations. Pamela has what is known as BATTERED WOMAN SYDROME.Pamela also ignores the needs of her 5 year old son. Her youngest son has a medical condition which affects his ability to excrete waste. Pamela allows her youngest son to sit in his own soiled clothing, forces her oldest son to play the parent and attend to his needs. I have also seen where Pamela has with a closed fist, smacked her son over the ass excessively. Pamela has repeatedly stated that Evan was her favorite child. She makes a point to provide for Evan rather than Seth who is the most adorable and intelligent 5 year old child I have ever met. I think it would be best that the father get custody of his son as I believe he would provided better care for him and I don\t really know him other then the lies and false statements Pam has made about him. PAMELA TAMOL. An investigation and complaint has been filed for the safety of your children. Furthermore, Court Street Elementary School and Lancaster High School will also be alerted to provided treatment and intervention.

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall;
1. Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list and NEVER call them back
2. Consider blocking the number or on a cell phone add it to a contact list and assign NO ring tone
3. Report it at fcc.gov
4. Report it at ftccomplaintassistant.gov
5. People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office
6. Report any criminal activity to the FBI here: tips.fbi.gov

The FCC has temporarily halted 9 minor boiler rooms that will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. These criminals need to be charged with FEDERAL FELONIES and subjected to significant prison time. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. The FTC levies huge fines, then rescinds them based on inability to pay. The FTC settles for the minimal cash on hand, and enjoins them from future telemarketing. The criminals sign off, then go right back to business as usual. These same people under different companies have been sued in the past and have only paid a minimal fine. At the height of this telephone debacle it's been said that each call center was making 27 calls a second, which is a whopping 2.4 million calls in a single day.

The criminals behind this operation aren't going to pay attention to you asking to be removed from their list. Their calls cost them almost nothing and they make millions of them so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number.

Despite the best interagency enforcement efforts to combat mass marketing fraud, the FBI remains cognizant of the fact that the only enduring remedy for this crime problem begins in consumer education and fraud prevention programs. Toward this end, the FBI has not only produced its own mass marketing fraud prevention materials, but coordinates on other public information efforts with the DOJ, FTC, and the USPIS, among others. The FBI also supports a consumer fraud prevention website in conjunction with the USPIS which can be located on the web at: stopfraud.gov. Additionally, further information on mass marketing fraud schemes can be found at fbi.gov, ftc.gov, ic3.gov, and stopfraud.gov.

Robocalls are illegal unless you have given them prior permission in writing (not worded into some small print contract from a 3rd party) and are absolutely illegal to a cell phone. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for each violation.

EVERYONE should be reporting them everywhere that they can. It is important to keep up the pressure even though nothing seems to be getting done, or else the government will just sit back and claim they are doing a good job since there are fewer complaints. Since this is an obvious attempt at identity theft and is interstate, the FBI should be forced to get involved. Charge them with a CRIMINAL offense and throw them in prison instead of the FCC saying 'Naughty - naughty, now go out and play nice'. (Prosecute them in criminal court instead of civil penalties).

Received call 9-10-2013 5:44 pm eastern standard time. This number came from the Kissimmee, Florida exchange. Have both landline and cell on the national

This is a Craigslist scam! He sends out fraudulent checks for $1500 or $2,750.50 and for upfront pay and groceries. Wants you to deposit it and send him back what you don't use. He prints checks with routing and account numbers he stole from another company. The checks do not cash and then you will end up with a deposit reversal on your bank account and be out the money he asked you to return.

The robocaller stated I had been recently denied a payday loan (HUH?) and after a review, a loan up to $1500.00 has been pre-approved for me. Nice try scammer. I just filed a complaint with the FTC and it took less time than your robocall.

same message says I applied for payday loan but was declined.(automated message) then says they have changed the qualifications and I am now approved for a 1500.00 payday loan and to call to recieve my 1500.00. I did not apply for any payday loan and caller ID says this number from Houston TX. I do not reside in Texas nor have ever been there, nor applied at all. I did make a phone call though....to the FTC and made a complaint as I am on the do not call list. I may also make a police report as well.

They called my father(in his 60's) and told him they needed legal statements from him on possible court action against me. Whatever, that is not how the legal system works and since he is 1500 miles away in a different county and state, legalese is unnecessary. Oh and if you were a REAL collection agency he would have simply been asked if he had contact with me and a number to reach me at. D-bags

I filed a complaint with the FTC. I had this issue a year ago, my complaint not only got the calls to stop and the company fined - but I got a check for $1500 from the company.

Go ahead and get on the national do not call list, its just a list top companies pay for to call you anyways. Ive been on the list for years and continue to get calls daily. If you want to stop these criminals, talk to them, be nice and get all their info you can, then file a small claims law suit under 1000 bucks, when you do this, since its under 1500 bucks, 99% of companies will just call you and settle, so take 500 from the assholes and if they do it again, repeat and enjoy your money.

In 1999, Alliance One Receivables Management Inc. was created by mergers and acquisitions of five different companies. Under Teleperformance, Alliance One has facilities from South America to India, from the U.S. to the Philippines and even the Caribbean. Teleperformance boasts over 275 call centers and is positioned in 45 countries. Alliance One has also is in a wide variety of sectors, such as health care, retail, telecommunications, utilities, financial services, and even the government. Their client roster includes over 500 government entities and courts

Most collection agencies operate on a contingency basis, which means that they do not get paid by their client unless and until they collect from the consumer. If and when the agency receives monies from a consumer, the agency then gives their client a pre-determined percentage of the monies recovered. The remainder belongs to the agency.

Oftentimes, debt collection agencies buy these debts for just pennies on the dollar. The debt collector is free to seek as much money from the consumer as they can regardless of what they paid to buy the debt. This amounts to large profit margins for them.

Typically, employees of debt collection agencies are motivated with performance-based bonuses determined by the amount of money they are able to collect from a consumer.

Regardless of what specific methods a debt collection agency uses in their attempts to collect a debt, it is clear that the agency is in the business of making money first and foremost. And that money comes from you – the consumer. Hopefully, you now have a better understanding as to why collection agencies use such aggressive behavior in their interaction with consumers.

Consumers around the globe have long complained about the unfair and often unethical tactics used by debt collection agencies and thus, the FDCPA - a federal law meant for the protection of consumers. It encompasses a set of rules governing the activities of collection agencies.

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall; http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls
1. Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list and NEVER call them back
2. Consider blocking the number or on a cell phone add it to a contact list and assign NO ring tone
3. Report it at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
4. Report it at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
5. People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office
6. Report any criminal activity to the FBI here: https://tips.fbi.gov

The FCC has temporarily halted 9 minor boiler rooms that will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. Civil action by the FTC against such criminals is totally ineffective. These criminals need to be charged with FEDERAL FELONIES and subjected to significant prison time. All of those involved know that they are violating FTC regulations. At the height of this telephone debacle it's been said that each call center was making 27 calls a second, which is 2.4 million calls per day.

The criminals behind this operation aren't going to pay attention to you asking to be removed from their list. Their calls cost them almost nothing and they make millions of them so they have no intention of ever removing someone. When you press a key to talk to them all that is accomplished is to verify that they have a working number.

Despite the best interagency enforcement efforts to combat mass marketing fraud, the FBI remains cognizant of the fact that the only enduring remedy for this crime problem lies in consumer education and fraud prevention programs. Toward this end, the FBI has not only produced its own mass marketing fraud prevention materials, but coordinates on other public information efforts with the DOJ, FTC, and the USPIS, among others. The FBI also supports a consumer fraud prevention website in conjunction with the USPIS which can be located on the web at: http://www.stopfraud.gov. Additionally, further information on mass marketing fraud schemes can be found at www.fbi.gov, www.ftc.gov, www.ic3.gov, and www.stopfraud.gov.
