These jack offs have been calling me a dozen times a day for the past4 days. They Claim that i paid them money last December to fix my computer and that they have detected foreign people accessing my computer. Then they try to get me to visit there website. I didn't have anybody repair my computer last December and if i had, it would've been the same guy that I've used for part five years. I've taken a liking to meeting with them, pretending I'm typing on the computer and taking a whole minute to find the key i need or pretending that I'm confused and asking stupid questions like "where do i pour the transmission fluid?" They get frustrated after about 5 minutes. Lol

Called me last week claiming to be from windows...I told him I didn't even have a computer...so he said "You are completely worthless"...calls again today, claiming to again be from windows, same name, and again I told him I didn't have a computer...Today I was told that I need to get off the phone with him and go out and buy a computer...I asked him why that is and he said "Cause a computer is very good for your health"...went on and on about how he was concerned about my health and I said to him "So last week you call, tell me I'm worthless and now today you are f***ing concerned for my health...do NOT call again"...he went on to say "Do not be angry with me...you know what I should do, I should slap you in your stupid face...I will call again tomorrow and you had better have a computer." Someone needs to figure out who these assholes are and lock them all up in an underwater cell without oxygen!!!

IT'S A SHAME THAT THE "DO NOT CALL LIST" nor AT&T nor ANY COMMON CARRIER... DOESN'T STOP THIS... THEY HAVE THE AUTOMATED INTERCEPTS TO STOP THIS... THEY COULD DO "TRAPS" LIKE stop calles from "1", "12-345-6789", ETC., ETC., ETD. WHY WOULDN'T THEY STOP THIS??? ARE THEY MAKING $$$$'S BY ALLOWING THESE CALLS. OR... THEY JUST DON'T CARE.... EITHER CASE IS > ATTITUDE, EH?.... CALL YOUR CARRIERS... RAISE HELL.. GO TO THE TOP... CEO/HQ/ DON'T CALL THE LOCALS.. IT'S A WASTE OF TIME... BUT IF WE ALL SHAKE UP THE CEO'S MAYBE SOMETHING WILL GET DONE...

I try to hold them on the phone for as long as I can to waste their time. A scammer might call hundreds of people to find one gullible enough to fall for their scam. Of course they don't want to spend time on people wise to what they do. They want to quickly move on to the next one. I give them hope that they've hit upon some sucker. Keep them talking, get them off script, pretend to be looking for your card to give them a number. Act like you are slightly addled, give them a number like 123456789. I kept one on the phone for 10 minutes. I'm on the do not call list which they absolutely don't care. So I figure they least I can do in return is waste their only commodity which is time. Keep it in mind folks.

I received a call, "recorded" asking me to call them back. They gave no informaion as to who they were and what was the reason for the call. They did state that
it was not a sales call. I called back the number on my caller ID: Powersafe ColTn. and was asked for my SSN, I did not give it. I called them and gave the
numbers 123456789 and talked to a woman and she asked for someone who does not live at my address. They say they will take the number off their list...WE WILL
SEE......................

I got this call several times while away on vacation. I do not have nor have ever had a Capital One card or any other dealing with Capital One. I picked up during one call and got a recorded message. I called the number and was asked for my 16 digit Capital One card number. I hit "zero" several times to try and get a person. Next I was asked to enter my SSN. I entered 123456789. I was connected to a person obviously in India who asked for my 16 digit card number. I responded that I did not have one. She asked for my phone number which I gave her. It is a listed number. She indicated that my number would be removed form future calls within 48 hours.

I strongly suspect this is a scam. NEVER CALL AN UNKNOWN NUMBER AND GIVE EITHER A CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR SSN.

I believe these calls have nothing to do with whether or not you have a Capital One card.

I received numerous calls from this number on my cellphone about a month ago. The calls stopped for about a month and then started up again three days ago. We get at least 6 calls a day, usually every 15-20 minutes for a couple of 2-hour blocks in the morning and the evening. Finally this evening I got fed up and called the number again. It is a recorded message and prompts for an account number (which I don't have--never had an account with HFC Financial) but I just typed in 123456789# each time they prompted for this until after four times, when they routed me to their customer service dept. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was put on hold and then transferred to another person. I explained the situation and the supervisor asked me to provide them with my cellphone number and assured me that I would not be called again. I told them I had already done that a month ago and said I wanted a name and phone number (not 800 number) to call if the calls continued. The best the supervisor would do was to provide the following address: HFC Financial, 961 Weigel Drive, Elmhurst, IL 60126 He said each person who is receiving these calls needs to call the 800 number or write to them at the above address and request that their phone number be removed from the call list. He said the calls are made automatically and that there is an error that causes some numbers to be called repeatedly. Good luck, everyone. I hope it works for you.

Left a message "This is not a sales call. . . . .". I called back, they requested 9 digit SSN to proceed, I entered 123456789, finally got through to a human. Turns out they were seeking someone unnown to me who lives miles and miles away.

123456789 is a number that shows up with calls originating from the Skype online phone service. The number is not associated with any particular caller.. I was using Skype and was told by people I called that this was the number that they got on their call display. I called myself and confirmed this.. With the very cheap rates for unlimited North America Calls with Skype lots of phone scammers are using their service with no whay of knowing who is calling. :-(

I answered and my number is unlisted and unpublished. on the phone with my provider right now. The caller from 123456789 said they are from Primus. They had my name right. Asked questions about my phone service and said i see you are using over 50.00 a month long distance. I finally told them they were to personal and cursed and told them not to bother trying again or i would call the rcmp.

These clowns called again. This time the computerized message went into the pre-approved credit card thing. What they are looking for are your band account numbers(checking or savings, either one will work for them), and your bank routing number! In other words, THEY WANT TO CLEAN OUT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!! FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T GIVE THEM THE NUMBERS!! At this point I started playing with them. If you don't enter the routing number fast enough the message just keeps asking for it. I figured out that if you hit the # key on the phone the recording will stop and then start over. I'll bet I hit the # key a hundred times. After I tired of that I gave them a routing number of 123456789. Then it asked for a bank account number, followed by the # key. I gave them 0 #. After a few more minutes of hitting random numbers it finally hung up. I say that we ALL toy with them. WHY NOT? THEY ARE CALLING AND HARASSING YOU! HARASS THEM BACK!! Yes, they never answer their phone when we call their number, but why don't we ALL CALL THEIR NUMBER ANYWAY? If you have unlimited long distance it won't cost you a thing, and we all will get the satisfaction of sticking it to them. LET'S MESS UP THEIR COMPUTER SO MUCH IT SHUTS DOWN!! CALL VERIZON! A Google search (on a Verizon website!!) shows that this is a landline handled by Verizon in Hackensack, New Jersey. A toll free number for Verizon is 800-621-9900. Let's ALL call Verizon. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
