Received 4 calls from this number today. I answered the first 1 but the line was just quiet. Ignored 2 and 3 and answered 4 still just a quiet line. I was hopeing they would answer so that I could give them a piece of my mind!

Got a feeling this is a company calle Blair Oliver Scott, who are owned by Halifax/BOS.

To everyone having problems, I strongly suggest you read the OFT Debt Collection Guidance, a lot of DCAs try to exploit peoples lack of knowledge to squeeze as much money out of people - even if that means breaking the law.

A couple of times a week could be considered harassment let alone multiple times a day.

I got into debt difficulties with three credit cards and reached the point of no return at end of 2008. I contacted National Debtline for advice and set up a Debt Management Plan with their appointed firm, Payplan. Since January 2009 I have not missed any of the agreed monthly payments based on my budget and their advice. Halifax is the least of the three debts yet the most troublesome. They ring daily from numbers 08456 029441 and/or 08456 037773 sometimes less than a minute apart. There is never anyone there if I pick up so I now ignore them. I am registered disabled and live alone and regard these calls as malicious harrassment. I wrote to Halifax, along with my other two creditors, back in January before I commenced the debt management plan. These credit card firms were happy to keep increasing credit limits, unasked, and claim they are there to help if you run into difficulties. They are not. They are only interested in making threats and harrassing you, presumably in the hope you will go out and rob a Post Office or something to raise more money for them. I have no assets to speak of and can do no more than I am doing.

This number is from the Bank of Scotland plc or the same group of companies within the Bank of Scotland, Halifax, Birmingham Midshire etc etc, it is a sales marketing call. They call us every week sometimes 3 times a day from 8.30am to 9pm for the LAST 3 MONTHS!!
I am going to register with the Telephone preference service as these calls will then be illegal!!!!

This number calls all the time. They say they are from the Halifax but i refuse to give them any personal details over the phone. They get really rude so i hang up. They call back a matter of minutes later. Each time they ring i add the number to my 'reject' list on my mobile phone and call bar them on my land line. I believe the calls come from a call centre in india and they are following a script. When you ask them any questions they get very rude. I threatened to report the Halifax to the banking ombudsmen for harrassment. I'm pretty sure what they are doing is not legal.

This number is constantly calling our phone, as my mother inlaw is 81 and has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and is on her own during the day it is very worrying for her when the phone rings and the line goes dead when she answers it. These calls are just trying to get people to call back which i'm sure will cost a fortune to the unfortunate persons concerned.
