Was called today (two days after getting grabbed by market researcher whilst shopping) by Fiona who congratulated me on winning weeks holiday for four with flights up to value of £15,000. She asked me to confirm I was a homeowner with income between 30 & 60k. She then gave me this number to ring, to speak to a 'travel advisor' to claim my prize, decided to check on-line first, I AM NOT GOING TO DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! Lets face it if you can't sell something by straightforward honest meand then it is NOT WORTH BUYING! Thanks to all.

Just got a call saying I'd won a holiday, flights and accomodation for 4 people anywhere in Europe valid for 18 months. I asked her if it was a timeshare thing and the lady told me it was purely a promotional thing from the travel company to encourage me to recommend them to friends and family. I asked her if I had to pay anything and she assured me (or tried to) it was genuine and I had 'won'!!
She told me to call 0800 9889900 and gave me a reference to quote. Glad I checked on here first and didn't phone. Thanks for the tip off guys.

Sept 14th 2009. Like the rest of you they called me saying I'd won a holiday, flights and accomodation for 4 people anywhere in Europe within 18 months following me answering a couple of questions in a 'survey' at the DTM race meeting at Brands Hatch on Sunday 06.09.09. They called me on fri 11th and again on Mon 14th. The girl was very pushy asking me to call the 0800 number straight away etc etc. Thankfully I checked it out on this site first.
Personally i'm annoyed at Brands Hatch for letting these people in. surly they have to pay to get into these events which means the event organisers know what these people are upto. maybe a strong email/letter to the officials of these events might get you a free ticket next year! :-) call me on 0800 9889900 to discuss the way forward!!! LOL

Just got a call from a cheery sounding lady saying I had won a holiday, following my participation in a survey with banal, meaningless questions at, Alicante airport, just ring 080-098-89900 and quote Alicante B141, the "B" stands for BERK I suppose !

Just received a call saying I'd won a holiday as a result of filling in a prize draw at Kent County Show. Given the 0800 number to register in order to get the details through the post. I guessed it was a time share company and this seems to confirm it. The call centre noise in the background and over-cheery girl rattling off the script did nothing to make me think otherwise.

Got the call today telling me too call 0800-988-9904 seems they have added an extra digit to stop you finding this website. Lady said she was from myoffers competition line, unfortunately I didn't win first prize but holiday for 4 in the usual locations. She quoted my address from 5 years ago so I said it's been along time for the draw so then put the phone down.

Would be interested to see if anyone actually has gone through with this and got the holiday but anyone who has got to that stage probably doesn't have access to the internet and I would also like their details as I have some rope for sale.

Just had a call have won a holiday for 4 anywhere in Europe supposedly from a superbike survey !! was told to ring 0800 988 9900 Just quoting their ref no, offered tenerife, portugal, costa del sol etc... we told them we had googled the number and was it a time share because there are thousands of scam reports linked to this tel no, they confirmed it is Club la costa, but 'not time share' !!

It is funny listening to them trying to convince us to spend 2 hours listening to them, to claim the free holiday... about 2 mins from Goodge street station, in London and then they can offer some a £70 voucher for a London Theatre show, which can be exchanged for high street vouchers if preferred !!

Ha what a con ! LOL

Got a call today today to say that I had been drawn today to win a luxury holiday for 4 worth £1500 and to call the above number.

He was trying his best to sound excited but I was listening to the plethera of people delivering the same message in the background. He said I didn't sound excited, I said it was obviously a scam...

I took the details but am not planning to call...

Just had call (03.04.09) to explain I'd won a free holiday for 4 anywhere in Europe after enetering a pirse draw on-line yesterday with firstclassprizes.co.uk. I have 18 mths to take the holiday and all i have to do is call 0800 988 9900 and talk to the tour operators...it's a freephone number and it won't take more than 2 mins. All they want to electoral roll confirmation of who you are and your holidays details will be sent to you in a couple of days! I thought it was a scam, this has confirmed it! I had something similar a few years ago where we had to travel down to Exeter for a meeting which lasted 2 hours, it WAS a sales pitch for a holiday club. Did get holiday to be taken in 18mths but didn't pay the booking fee as holiday involved a time-share sales pitch which we didn't want to attend. BEWARE........

They have just called me (26Feb09). After reading this webpage it appears that as none of you accepted the prize they are trying to off-load it on me!
Being a bit naïve I entered a competition on www.firstclassprizes.co.uk , which I got by clicking on a link on spam I received from: “First Class Prizes with Fair Exchange” (me@members.fair-exchange.com). On looking on that site today it says that there is still 33 Days to go to the closing date of the competition!
Needless to say I won’t be calling them to accept my ‘free’ trip to Spain, Portugal on the Canaries!

Another similar story to the rest. I have just received a telephone call tody from CLC claiming we had won a prize. My husband had apparently completed a survey at Faro Airport whilst we where on holiday last year. I really don't know when he did this with two under 5's under toe but they did appear to have all our details correct, ages etc.

He told me we had won a holiday, I was silent and he was surprised I was not getting exicted, I said it sounds too good to be true and he assured me it wasn't. All I could hear in the background where other operators giving the same information about winning holidays etc to people.

I was advised to ring 0800 9889900 and quote ref SENROAD43205 which I haven't so it looks like Costa Back yard this year as I believe this is a true scam.

This company has phoned me several times but when i eventually did speak to them apparently I had entered a competition and had won a Luxury 7 nights holiday for 4 people Spain or Portugal. Flights & accommodation included. They knew my email add, postcode, marital status and age. All i had to to do was phone a free phone number and give a reference number. I assumed a scan but thanks for confirming.

Received a call from CLC today - I too have 'won' a holiday! I do enter comps a lot but didn't recall this one, so Googled it before calling and found a lot of people in the same boat. Shame, I was quite excited! Don't be put off playing other comps though - I work for a genuine handling house and there are real promotions and real winners out there...

Call from them today 02-02-2009 to my mobile phone. Think they had tried several times today, but I didn't answer as its been coming up as an "unknown" number on my mobile. Apparently I had won a holiday for 4... inc hotel, flights... blah blah blah. The guy ringing said that I had won from a prize draw of a survey I had entered online, but didnt say who the survey was for. He started going through my age, postcode, martial status, etc, when I stopped him and asked me why he was going through it and where he'd had the info from, he said it was from the survey and he was just confirming... "now that he knew my details were correct he invited me to ring this number"... 0800 988 9900, which obviously I googled and came across this site before doing anything. Have to say his info was quite out of date, I have not lived with my bf for 2 years, yet he had me down as co-habiting, well married actually lol!
I'm sorry but do they think we're daft... win a holiday out of the blue!!!! call me a half empty kinda gal but... seriously?!
Needless to say havent bothered calling, can't be bothered with being sold a timeshare. Thanks guys for posting and warning.

Call from a company calling themselves "CLC". I filled out a questionnaire in Menorca (last month) and they had called telling me I had won a free holiday. I said "sorry to be cynical, but is this an attempt to sell me something?" - I was assured not. Asked me to call 0800 988 9900 and quote a reference and I would be sent details of my holiday. Fortunately I checked the internet first - flagged up everywhere as a timeshare sales company called CLC. I won't bother claiming my holiday.

Received a phone call from a company CLC Resors & Hotels. Was very sceptical as they were trying to confirm some personal details at first. Then they asked me to call 0800 988 9900 (free from a landline) before 8pm tonight to claim a 7 nights luxury self catering holidays for up to 4 people in resorts: Costa del Sol, Tenerif, Algarve, Scotland or Cornwall. Cost of booking fee £29.50pp + airport tax £35pp. They also included £70 theatre tickets for free and asked me to attend a 2hr seminar with my partner! Yeah....Although it would be really nice to win for once in my life thanks to this site I'm glad I've remained a sceptic...Many thanks to all of you who has saved me a valuable time and money!!!

I recieved a phone call from a person who told me he was phoning on behalf of Euro Travel ,his name Sean.He told me that my husband & I had won a holiday in Europe all expenses paid for 4 people. All I had to do was phone 080-098-89900,he gave me a ref number of BB69.I would receive a letter to confirm this, it is all in black and white ,you have a hard copy he told me..Wished me a nice time.I had to do this as soon as i had finished our conversation he told me.
The next night the same chap phoned me again, as soon as I reconised his voice I told him I had not got the time to talk to him and put the phone down on him. Yes I knew this was strange, after all who gives you a free holiday for nothing??? But I went along with the flow to see what it was all about.

A girl called me a little while ago and told me that I have won a holiday to canary islands for 4 and was asked to call this free No. by quoting a ref. no she gave. She also told me that i am required to pay £29.50 as they can't absorb that cost for legal reasons. I was lucky I found this website when i googled the no. Thanks guys for your useful comments which saved me from unnecessary pitfalls

3 days ago I was called to say I had won a 7 nights holiday including flights. I had to call this number and quote a ref. They made special mention that it was a freephone number. Received call this morning saying I'd won a holiday for 2 where I could take up to four if I wanted. It is absolutely free, I just need to phone a freephone number as they need me to confirm my full address with the admin department. She gave me a unique personal number to quote. I have been on an offer weekend through Marriot before which was not free but fantastic for the money quoted and yes I did have to attend a very convincing sales meeting which didn't eat too much into my stay, however I am not so familiar with this company so certainly not calling. It's all a bit cheesy that they call to say you've won a prize - I wish they would be more open and honest. It's not a good start! Plus the fact this was my fourth call to say I've won a competition - what a lucky person I am!!!

Yeah, these people are arsehole timeshare con artists - don't bother ringing unless it's to give them abuse. I asked the woman who rang me straight out 'is this just a bollocks timeshare thing or have I actually won something worth having' and she still lied. Owned up to the £29.50 'booking fee' but not the timeshare - the booking fee is always a dead giveaway - no real competition is going to give you a holiday but then charge you for it. I hate these people. Can't we organize a good old-fashioned lynch mob? :)

The first call came last month from Club Costa which we checked out and decided it was not our thing. They have rung again today and we have won a seven night luxury holiday with EUROTRAVELS, Looking at their website they need to employ a slightly more intelligent interpreter as the English bit is mostly rubbish. The phone number however led us directly to this site where the truth has been revealed.

Yep... here's another similar story. Was phoned today by Ryan from CLC, I've won a holiday for 4, flights and accomodation to be taken within 18 months to either Turkey, Spain, Canary Islands or Austria! Mind you this is only second prize in an oline copmetition I'd entered. Gave me a 'personal reference number to quote when I phone 0800 988 9900 where someone will sort me out!! Luckily for me someone at work told me to gooogle the phone number. Glad I did and found this site!!! Thanks!!

Hmm, so has anyone been through it to the end? I mean £29 per head is a small fee to pay to get a 4 nights accomodation and flight to a Europe Destination! If we attend this presentation and if we say no, they can't do anything can they? I am tempted to give it a try but I have kids and and the holiday i won is only for 2 so i cannot go ahead to see if they are a scam or not!

Called to say i had won a holiday. From a competition i had entered online. I asked what the catch was she said no catch the only money i would pay was the booking fee of £29.50 per person . Choice of Austria,Turkey,Costa Del Sol, Portugal. Gave me a reference number and said i had to call the claim line. If i did it within an hour i would also recieve £50 shopping vouchers.Had 18mths to take holiday and wouldn't send booking fee until a month before travelling. Don't think i will bother ringing. Thanks

01/08/2007 Received a call today that I had won a holiday week abroad including flights for 4. Gave me a reference but did not identify the company other than a few letters which was said once and not repeated even though I asked for contact information. I didn't enter a competition so I presume they have used the voters roll again. They don't seem to take no as an answer and I'm not driving 25 miles to find out more. They quoted £70.00 as charges. Be careful as the return cost to the airport is not included and can be another charge.

was on to this prize straightaway! it was funny how my husband had won the very same holiday only 1 month earlier? we did not attend the meeting, did research first, (no children allowed at meeting under age 7 anyway) when we got call back for none attendance they were quite abrupt, our thought was if that's how they act when you don't go to their sales pitch what would they be like when you say no thanks? tread with caution

Claim line for Club La Costa...7nt,5 star.self catering holiday with flights for 4 people included.'WON'with MYOFFERS.COM.£29.50 per person admin costs. Choice of Austria,Turkey,Costa Del Sol, Portugal.Need to travel to Haydock to discuss details. BULL! 2hrs+ Sales pitch I hear, while they try to get people to sign up for what is basically 'TIME SHARE'.Not going to waste my time to find out. Some people have taken the 'FREE' holiday, which involes another sales pitch meeting. Some say more costs are added ie:airport tax. Procede with caution I'd say!
