I had been getting a lot of calls from these numbers and yesterday I got email warning that the calls beginning with 062 or like numbers beginning with 0 are scams from the South Asia area. This was told by the local phone company. I don't know it it is the warrenty company as others had mentioned.

8:23 pm Aug 20, 08, no answer, no message left. Caller ID 5-062-280-1387. Hope my answering machine picking-up doesn't garner me a $1200.00 phone bill!

Pre-recorded message about extending a car warranty, "Press 1 to speak to an agent". I did and when the person asked what she could do for me, I said "You called me", and she immediately hung up.

I recieved a call at about 8:20 pm. today and my caller ID could not identify it. I thought that the number looked very strange because the area code started with a 0, I have never seen this before so I did not answer and they did not leave any message on my machine. This must be some kind of scam.

Probably relates to all the scam calls from 50622* today. See http://www.whocalled.us/lookup/506-226-5471 for examples. The leading "5" was probably trimmed from one of these fake 11-digit numbers.
