I received a recorded message stating that my credit card was in default and that "We have been trying to reach you, but you have not been returning our phone calls." I was told that this was my last chance to correct this and that action was required by me (message said "you") otherwise my account would be sent to a collection agency. I was told to #1 to speak to an operator or hit #2 to continue to ignore the phone calls. When I hit #1 to speak with an operator I was offered a new card (no name for the card (like Visa or Mastercard) was given) with a low introductory rate. I explained to the operator why I was talking to him (no name was given) and he continued to try to sell me a new card. I then hung-up the phone without giving any personal information.
