probably a computer sending out random calls to see who answers, so real people don't have to call a bunch of bad numbers.

A recording responded and said "Sorry, wrong number". Really? The National Security Agency held a small ribbon cutting ceremony for its Utah Data Center yesterday-- also dubbed a "spy center". Could it be them checking their system over the next couple of days as they get up and running? They will be collecting data from all phones and computers across the U.S.

I have never received a business call like this in my life. I don't think it is a business. I think it may very well be the National Security Agency.

Mr Gonzalez claimed to be a "Federal Agent of the IRS." He gave me this identifying info:

Badge # 8675293
Phone # 202-558-4596
Address 1111 Constitution Ave NW, Wash DC 20004

Mr Gonzalez stated that I must call Good Housekeeping at 888-898-3483 to claim my $350,000 prize from a drawing 3 months ago. It was 2nd place prize. Claim # is GOV13579. I have not called anyone as I believe this is a scam.

I received a fax stating to Call 888-761-7046. This is what the fax said, "Hard Money California Only. 1st Mortgages & 2nd Mortgages. SFR & Multi-Units & Commercial. Loans up to 60% LTV on Refi's. Loans up to 100% L.T.V. On Flips. Loan amounts from $40,000 to $5,000,000. Call Today."

There was a number 866-556-8635) to be removed from this list, but when I called it, it was disconnected.

I called the 888-761-7046. You'll hear a message of, "Hello, you've reached Loan Office Solutions, you're hard money lending source. Please leave your name and number and I will get back to you as soon as possible." I left a message to take our fax number off the list.

10-15 mins later, I received the same fax. I called again and left another message stating to remove our fax number from their list.

I checked the fax caller ID and it came up as JPMC at 630-203-1111.

We will see if I get another one from them.

I just received a call from # 202-000-1111 and his name was Rex Taylor, his employee ID # WS135. He told me that I was selected to receive $8,400.00 of grant. He was telling me that there will be a processing fee and he was trying to ask me for my bank account information.I refused to give it to him then he told me to call 202-470-1403 and ask for Sophie Lopez and give her the confirmation number DJ101 to claim my grant.

Please don't fall for it.

If its government grant, we should never be paying for any processing fees to get some free money.

Lets show these stupid scam that we are not stupid and give out our information so they can have our money.

Hey everyone, with the help of my local police department in Tuscon, AZ, I've proceeded to trace the harassing phone calls down to a business in Belmont, Massachusetts. I've discovered information about the owner of the establishment via google and I'm in the process in filing a law suit against this guy. From my research I've discovered, his name is Chris Perron and it appears he's pissed off a lot of other people and business owners (according to negative feedback on his Merchant Circle account as well as other places). You guys can even see it for yourself, just type the guy's name (Chris Perron) and the business (Datboys Data Recovery) into a google search engine, you can see that guy has got some serious problems and definitely needs psychiatric help. So long story shot, if you have also been receiving death threats and harassment from this guy like I have then please contact me via email so I can link you with some references to put this creep to a stop and end the harassment. By the way everyone, Satan destroys his own!
Please email me at anon09176@live.com if you have questions/concerns.on this, I have a lot more information regarding this.

Rather tired of getting these calls always for someone else with the same last name. These "debt collectors" should be publicly executed for dialing other than the right number. There is no way that this is an innocent mistake: year in and year out I get these calls, and the few that do speak are always looking for a female with my last name and I am a guy, so where the hell do they get off calling me repeatedly?!

Blame the internet for linking people together -NO, blame the morons that think that anyone with the same family surname is fair game to harass for their nickle and dime fees.

Is there a debt consolidator which is not a joke? Someone else gets paid to call customer service numbers and plead for repriced accounts, that's essentially the job description, something a debtor can and should do herself. Only difference being their profit margin ranks higher than your goal of debt relief. Even worse when the outfit sells only an empty promise.

They're calling to try to make you feel sorry for their poor, struggling, billionaire health insurance company executive friends. I've picked up the phone twice (2nd time was this morning, Friday, Nov. 6th} and they've only left the last few words "will call back later". After finding this great website and identifying them, I'm thinking "whoa, effective robocalls, you weapons-grade idiots- yeah, keep up the good work!". I've tried to call them back a few times to let them know that every time they call, I call a different congressperson to ask them to vote for a strong public healthcare option but that phone number is always busy.
There is just no excuse for 45,000 Americans dying every year because they can't afford health insurance or have had health insurance denied and even cancelled (Cambridge Health Alliance/ Harvard Medical School study). My mom loves her Medicare and wishes that I could also have it. That's what she tells our congresspeople when she calls them.
Call your congressperson right now- they're trying to pass the House healthcare reform bill today or tomorrow so this is the best possible time to call. It's also the best possible revenge for these infuriating robocalls.
It's easy: Call the Capital switchboard (1-202-224-3121)and they will direct you to your 2 senators and your representative. They will directly connect you with one, write down the 2 numbers for the other 2 representatives and call them next. There are usually toll-free numbers but they have been shut down due to the heavy volume of calls today.
You can keep it simple "please ask so-and-so to pass a strong public healthcare option", you can also defend Medicare or the VA healthcare system, even better is to add a story of your own. A good story makes the most impact.
Keep trying if it's busy and stay on the phone if you get put on hold- it normally doesn't take too long. You can also look up their numbers on www.Senate.gov and www.House.gov. If you can’t get through at all today, call after hours and leave a voice mail.
Oh what the heck! Call the White House too! 1-202-456-1111. I did. You can too.

If you posted your information on an internet job search board (Monster, HotJobs, etc) that is how they get your number. Do not put your telephone number on thos eboards. These scammers will get it. Post your number as: 214-000-1111, or some other dummy number. Have employers initially contact you via email, otherwise these scammers are calling!

Friday I had 12 hits on my home recorder with no messages left. On Sunday, I started receiving calls from 111-111-1111. I had received a warning that the 999-999-9999 and 111-111-1111 or 000-000-0000 may be scam calls and not to answer. I was so mad that the phone rang every 20 minutes with this same number, that I finally turned my radio as loud as it would go, with lots of raspy static and then answered the call and set the phone on the radio for about 20 minutes. I received one call after that--which I did not answer--no calls since.

We get calls constantly at our office from 111-111-1111. We get these calls daily, sometimes 6 or more times. We used to get calls from 000-000-0000, but now it's moved on to 111-111-1111. I guess next I can expect 222-222-2222. This is very annoying, and I can't believe that there is no way to stop it. I know it's just telemarketers. Most of the time we just don't answer, but very seldom we will just to see what happens & it's always dead air.

I've had several calls from this number. Some are political, some tell me to press 7 to get instant approval of a $5,000 loan.

Isn't it illegal to "spoof" your caller ID information? One of my guesses is this is done to "fool" the call rejection services, the ones that require a njmber to show on the caller ID.

Also I get a bunch from 1-111-111-1111
