We use VoIP and it gives the 'actual' phone number which is an OUT OF THE COUNTRY exchange 011. Complete phone number is:011-401-401-0125. Called on line 1, they hung up instantly. Then immediatley called on our line 2 and I could hear a lot of talking in the background- thus another SCAM once again. The dot-head finally said 'hello?' then the line disconnected. A roto-dialer.
Here we go folks with another BS scam heard round the world for a year or 2 until they start using another number.
BTW, people, get off the DO NOT CALL crap...it's a gov't run crap-hole of inefficiency and it does nothing to stop call slamming- stop whining and stand up for yourselves- the gov't aint gonna do it. Mark these calls us IGNORE and ignore them!!
I've talked to these dot-heds before. They go through confirming our company name & address for the yellow pages (they already know everything- I just confirmed) . When he pressed me on my FULL name I said it was none of his business. He kept pushing so I hung up. They just keep calling- twice a day.
I don't even want to be listed!! BTW, it's a foreign call (news flash, I know) the full number they call from is 011-336-424-9685
The real number is 011-941-356-9501. Call from a foreign exchange. I made the mistake of ordering muscle relaxers from an Internet Pharmacy some 5 or 6 years ago. The Assholes haven't stopped calling since. They just pass the number around to other RX Pharmacies. They call my office constantly even though I tell them the person they are looking for no longer works here. (they then had the nerve to ask for a contact number so they could call at the new number) I said no, she then told me she would jyst continie to call & ask for _____. When I said _____no longer works here, she then said "this is a business?' I replied it was. But I also know this will not stop them from calling back.
It got so bad I had to get a new cell number- I had my previous cell number for over 12 years but because of the harassment I got a new number. They still call the office though. They go away for awhile then they started calling from several different numbers last week. This sucks so bad I can't tell you. All you can do is mark the numbers as IGNORE and do kust that.
Another SCAMMER. I missed the call. Called back & of course you get the message "all lines are busy, please call back". So you can't get through. No surprise there. Now I know to ignore the call & after a couple of montjs these asswipes will go away like all the others. That's ABSOLUTELY ALL YOU CAB DO.
Some other info, on the internet says it's yahoos trying to sell CD's. SUre as hell aren't going to buy CD's from some jack ass over the phone & from NEW YORK. I'm in TEXAS. GOD, I waish the scammers would just go away.
I missed the call so I can't say whether or not they were rude (several complaints on the Internet about calls from this number in 2008) I guess in 2008 the number belonged to 'Webxites', judging by comments I have read on the internet, it looks like their rudeness may have lost them their company (we can only hope). Looks like the number now belongs to PopLabs:

I sent an email and sked them to cease calling me. We'll see if it works.
This foghorn 'this is your captain calling' BS scam crap is SOOOOO OLD! It's been going on for well over a year. They call my office & now they have my cell number- I mark the number as 'Ignore on caller ID & that's what I do.
Yeah, right Roger Dodger- guess you're employed by these scammers.
Folks- don't fall for this garbage & DON'T GO TO ANY WEBSITES, you just verify your existance.
Here's the deal on these guys: I called the number back and was told they are Gulf-Tex & Euro American. One of their 'projects' is French Town Acres (are you serious??!! This is TEXAS for crying out loud) so they may use that name too when trying to part people from their money. I asked to be removed from their call list & she took the information & said she would take care of it. She was polite & professional unlike the dillweed 'blergo oil guy' that posted the rude, taunting crap below. He'll lose his straight commission scamming job soon anyway since hopefully no one is falling for this scam & he won't hit his numbers to draw a paycheck.
Hey Asswipe Blergo Oil Guy- I make WAY more money than you ever will and I am part owner of this company as well as teh agte-keeper & you're too stupid to figure out you will NEVER talk to the President of this company. You did NOT get through me and you did NOT geat any deals & you never will. If you're going to attempt to insult me, at least spell my name correctly- oh, I forgot- you're an idiot loser!!
God, I LOVE SCREWING with lick knobs like you. Thanks for the laughs!!! I have a REAL job- not a job SCAMMING people about 'oil & gas' "investments". (the word Investment being used loosley here). You should try a real job someday- ah, but you will be one of those asswipes that ives off the government dole anyway. If we wanted to invest our money we would call a reputable company & do so.
So now that I know you work for these Yahoos- are you Jeff or Brandon? I've reported you guys and will continue to do so and now every time you call(& you WILL call again because you're dumb to & you're pissed at this posting) so PLEASE call here- we have a great computer phone system that tracks who calls & when and each time you call I get $500.

A robo-dialer, if you press 2 to be removed it hangs up on you. If you call back the lines are temporarily busy- a voicemail recording I'm sure. These assholes called my CELL and I don't have a mortgage. I HATE these kinds of scammers. I want to know how they got my cell number.
Guess I'm the only one getting calls from these A-Holes. Looks like last time they called from this number it was 'Gulf Tex", today it is 'Euro-American'. The guy mis-represents what he is calling about trying to get to my boss. We're in construction & so he called saying he was calling to 'see if we would be interested in looking at a job'. When I can't get answers from callers I know not to put them through. The phones go to me 24/7, 365 so these dill weeds can NOT get through me. Losers!!
Caller said she was from 1160 AM radio (which is a really good radio station in Big D for conservatives), trying to get sponsorship for a blood drive. Weird call- she went into a spiel as though she was a radio announcer and our company was the sponsor. I stopped her & asked what she was selling. Then I told her we were not interested as money was tight.
Me again. I called him back. The guy's name is Theodore. He was argumentative, saying 'You must not have told me to remove your name, or I would not have called.' Yeah, right, I want to continue to be harassed by another investment guy calling us. Anyway, I said let's cut to the chase & stop arguing & you remove our number now, so in the future if I get a call I will know I spoke to Theodore on 6-29-09 at 12:20 PM & you were to have removed our number, correct?' He agreed. I have zero faith this works.
For all you 'Investment Brokers' out there: Stop calling people, stop smiling & dialing. If people want to invest they will invest & they will look into it very closely, they won't use some guy from New York when we're in Texas!
Called again- so much for the 'nice-guy' routine. I was very polite to him Friday when he called, now I will call back & go off on them. Why do these ass-wipes INSIST on calling a company that is NOT interested in their services??? They called at 7:50 AM, I'm sure thinking they would get the boss- good try. The phones are forwarded to me 24/7 the ultimate 'Gate Keeper'.
I finally talked to these weenies- they were calling from 845-790-8094 for the last 3-4 months twice daily. I spoke to the guy last night and said I have ZERO money to donate to this cause. He says 'well, all I want you to do is mail out 13 letters to your neighbors'. I said No Thanks and hung up.
Are piece of advice to MOD: stop HARASSING people...you will not get ANY donations this way.
Call is actually from international code 011. Full number was 011-562-288-7168. Some female dot-head asking for someone I've never heard of, then she goes into her spiel about this being a 'debt consolidation' program.
I told her I had great credit & no financial issues...didn't deter her she just kept on talking. I had to talk over her & told her I wasn't interested & to stop calling me.
I'm sure they will continue to call- especially since it's an international number & not governed my any of our laws...SCAMMERS SUCK!!
This is Citicorp Credit. This number has literally shown up on caller ID 3-4 times EVERY DAY including SUNDAY- they are calling a business, not someone's home. If I ever manage to actually catch these guys calling I will inform them that my employees are NOT allowed personal calls at work & they need to cease calling. If you advise a company to cease calling you they HAVE TO- BY LAW. For every call they make after you have told them to cease calling you can sue for $500 per offense. Inform them of that..the will stop calling you. We use Vonage so I have a record of all numbers called as well as date & time of the call so I can prove their offenses. Read up on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Law and know how to FIGHT back- STOP BEING VICTIMS!! ftc.gov
Lord! With the tight economy more & more of these types of companies call our office daily- DRIVE me NUTS!!!! They try everything to get through to the boss and many times are rude. If creeps are deceptive about who they are & why they are calling- tell them to screw off & stop calling.
Caller ID said Service Announcement- I'm sure it's just a way to get you to answer your phone. I called it back..surprise! Number not in service. It's a SCAM.
Just ignore it- they EVENTUALLY go away.
I just mark this number as IGNORE & do just that. This SCAM has been going on for over a year. I agree, LORINDA works for the lick knob a-holes.
Recording saying they need people to host foreign exchange students, and the government lest you deduct the expense- blah, blah. Of course, when I call back I get the 'your call cannot be completed as dialed message". That right there tells you it's a scam, if the callback number is bogus, the whole thing is bogus. The recorded message won't give the option to be removed from the call list, so my suggestion is to ignore the calls. I have saved the number & marked it as IGNORE on my phone.
They called my cell phone which really hacks me off since I rarely give out this number.
The number is actually 011-987-654-3210- most likely one those the 'your auto warranty is about to expire' scams, or a 'lower your interest rate' scam. Either way- don't answer in about a year they will go away & come back using another number. ASSWIPES WON'T GO AWAY!!
If you don't know who's calling ignore the call, if it's impotant they will leave a message.
This is a debt collector. They keep calling here for a guy that hasn't worked here for YEARS. I called back, phone rang & rang then it goes to Juanita Brown's extension which says the company is ORM (couldn't find anything on this company). I'm not so sure that the number that showed on caller ID (678-954-5681) is a legitimate company, it could be spoofed and thus the company I called back is not actually the company making the call.
If I find out more I'll update
The same old "this is your final notice your auto warranty is about to expire" scam that's been going around for over a year- just a different number. Don't waste your time trying to talk to someone & get your number removed- it WILL NOT happen. By answering you just confirm it is a good phone number & they will continue to call you. So I make these as IGNORE on my phone & I do just that. After about 9 months they will go away, only to be replaced by another Ass wipe with another scam and another number....
tierone-networks.com
Here's their website. Personal financial issues my ass! I called & got the 'general voice mail' & told them to STOP calling here that they used BS sales tactics & to remove us from their call lists. I have them marked on caller ID to IGNORE!!!
Yep, I AM the only one reporting this number. Today a 'friendly' female called. After dragging information out of her she said it was a 'personal call regarding finances'. I told her to stop calling here & hung up.
These guys are desperate for business! Probably another Oil & Gas Opportunity!!!
Lord I am SICK of these calls. They went away for awhile. They're back!! This number shows on our caller ID at work 3 times a day. Call back & I get that stupid XO Voice Portal recording. I cannot wait to actually get hold of these asses.
I just mark it as Ignore. I now have 21 numbers marked- between RX pharmacies, credit card interest lowering scam , and the warranty scam. BMo has the right idea with the telemarketing scam trap. However there are problems in doing this: the time involved to do go through all those girations with ALL these scammmers and secondly now you confirm youre a live being. Your number will now get on even more scam lists!!
These people call daily & never leave a kessage. I called back, after hours but left a message in the general mailbox asking they remove our number from their call list. Here's their info:
Private Company Headquarters:
840 Shallowford Rd. NE Ste. 301,
Kennesaw, GA 30144, United States
(770)592-0400, iamwatching.com
I have Vonage for phone service & it gives the whole number which showed an '011' exchange. I called back without the 011 (never call an international number!) and it IS Register.Com She said their account reps were probably calling because they have specials that are only good over the phone...blah- blah. Anyway, I said that's fine but we really don't want any sales calls & to please remove our phone number from all call lists. She was very pleasant & apologized for any annoying calls that we got. She emphasized it may take up to 48 hours to be updated & completely removed from their system.
People- you have got to stop being VICTIMS & take control of situations that annoy you. Don't look to Do Not Call, it is as joke & doesn't work. Websites like this are how you fight back. Do a little research figure out who is calling and handle it- No one is going to handle it for you. Especially not the government!!
I'm sure it's a marketing company, I've been getting several of these types of calls lately. They are EXEMPT from DO Not Call (DNC is a JOKE anyway people- wake up). Just tell them to remove you from their call list & be nice about it. If they continue to call, then get rude.
Saw this number on my cell phone at 6:22 PM on Friday. I don't have a CapitalOne card so I would know immediately this was a scam. After reading all these posts, I will just add this number as 'IGNORE' on my cell phone & never answer. I have about 15 of those now..with all the 'auto warranty' and 'reduce your NEVER answer they will eventually move on (only to replaced by the next scammer). Unfortunately all we can do anymore is IGNORE these calls- they won't go away, they usinbf phishing scams for the phione numbers and you can't find them or stop them.
By the way, the fax sound many of you are getting when you call the number back is probably a recording- not a real fax modem. DON'T EVER CALL THESE NUMBERS BACK- you just verify your phone numnber is a GOOD number & they will continue to call you. If it were any legitimate business there would have been a messgae left.
Actually shows up on our Vonage phone with the international code of 011 preceding teh number. I'm sure the phone number is spoofed & isn't legit.
As you can see, I reported these asses back in November of 2008. They're back. I just mark the number as 'ignore' and I do just that.
I have been getting calls from these 'pharmacies' for over FIVE YEARS. I even had to get a new mobile number after I received so many calls over several years & they wouldn't stop calling. All you can do is IGNORE them and hope they eventaully go away. GOOD LUCK.
They even called my fax. Just an Auto Dialer and a SCAM. If you'll read up on the internet there are ways to shut these A-holes down. Just have to keep records & file a complaint with your attorney's general office. May take a little work, but these creeps will not stop unless sued into oblivion. Remember, at the end of the line is a major A-1 Asshole that needs to go down big time. He also runs another Credit Card debt scam, the customer service person is always named Heather- look it up on the Internet.
Some RUDE SOB- said his name was Dwight, asking for my boss said it was in regard 'to contract work'. This ass will NEVER get through. Hung up on me after being extremely confrontational. Tried to call back, it was busy-no surprise there
Way to go Jack, I'm impressed you tracked these yahoos down so well! I've been getting both the 'credit card debt relief' & 'auto warranty' calls for about 10 mohths both at home, work and now on my cell. Talk about going nuts. I've had a hell of a time tracking these losers down. I've tried holding to talk to someone & they just hang up, I've tried all I know to figure out who they are so I REALLY am impressed you found out so much about them. I'm going to do all I can do to shut them down in Texas. We use Vonage at home & work and I can get the history of all the calls.
This is how it's done folks, stop whining, figure it out & fight back. The DNC list is a joke and the numbers that show on caller ID are spoofed- you have to figure this stuff out for yourselves & this sight is the first step. Follow Jack's advice, be pro-actve and stop being a victim and we can shut these lick-knobs down. It will be temporary, but if we stick to it this crap will slow down a lot.
Rule of thumb: if someone calls you to sell something- ignore them, be wary. If you do not receognoze the number or it ios NOT local don't answer (if no message is left it's no one you know and not important & maybe they will eventually go away, once you answer you confirm they have a good number & you will continue to get calls)
Keeps showing in caller ID, no messgaes left and when I call the number back it's an 'XO voice portal' & it asks me 'to enter my extension now'. I've screwed with it trying to jam the system by entering all sorts of numbers. This is some BS business & when I finally do get to talk to someone again I will get aenough information on them to be able to launch an official comlaint with the FTC about the way they do business.
Asswipes called AGAIN. I called back & went voodoo on the chick. She assured me she would block our number. We'll see. I told her I've reported them to the FTC & they they are rude & use illegal tactics.
Geez, am I the only one getting these calls? they ask for my boss, then say they will call back & hang up quickly. They always catch me when I'm relaly busy & don't have the time to screw with them. I call back & no one ever answers
Ass-wipes are calling us AGAIN. I finally got our number removed back on 5-15-08 (see below). Now, they are calling again. I didn't answer, they left no number so tomorrow I will once again call them back & give them an earful. I have also filed an official complaint with the FTC.
Called my office asking for an employee, I assume it is a collection call. When I tried to get out of him who he was he gave me his name- Wilson (BS too because this was a dot-head calling from overseas it sounded like). I asked who he was with and he hung up.
No message left. My guess is it's another 'Warranty about to expire' call or 'this is your last opportunity to reduce your credit card interest rate' call. I've been getting these calls from all different bogus numbers for months now and cannot get removed from the calling list.
Tons of complaints on other sites about this number. Some scam auto warranty BS. I alreasdy have an extended warranty dick-weed! Anyway- when you press the option to be removed it hangs up on you. I have gotten numerous calls on many differnt numbers with this same recording. The worse the economy gets, the more of these we'll be getting!
Brandon at Gulf Tex. Looking to get my boss to invest! UGH!!! Sick to death of these type companies calling here. They try to bully their way through to my boss. Bastards! gulftexoperating.com
From what I read on the Internet this is someone looking for donations for the police (Comm Services probably means Community Services), I guess in the Ft. Worth area. I didn;t answer in time, but when I called back there was no answer. When I figure out for sure who it is, and I will, I'll post again.

They also call from 8626, 8632. When I call back the phone never answers.
Left no message. I called back & it rang off the wall.
This number showed on our Vonage Caller ID as RETREON. This was one of those BS on-line pharmacy calls. Guy talked right over me saying he 'had my refill ready if I could just write down my confirmation number' I had to talk over this ass-wipe several times & told him sot stop calling here. I'll be so glad when these kind of bogus businesses are closed. This jerk was calling my work too!
I called back, voicemail states it is Nova One. I left a message to be removed from their call list. I think it was for a subscription offer from Bottom Line Health magazine.
Some dick-weed from this company called asking for my boss like he's some old buddy. I get so tired of that routine! Anyway, gave me the line of 'I'm on my way to a meeting in 5 mintes, is Ken there or not'. I continued to attempt to get to the reason for his call and I asked if they were an oil & gas company looking for investors. He talked over me & said 'No,no, no, not that'. He said he would call again tomorrow morning, I said great we'll go through this same routine again. He said that's fine.
I looked them up on the internet..Oil & Gas company. Lying sack of shit, I hope he does call again tomorrow- I'll go off on the loser. I get so sick of these guys using deceptive tactics- especially in this market, it's gotten out of control.
Same as everyone else, I pushed 9 to get started then asked to to be removed from their call list. SHe hung up on me. Of course being a credit card scam you can't call the number back! Sounded like such a sweet young girl- too bad she is in a scam business.
RTRM01 may be on to something. I bought a Magellan in December, but about 2 months ago I registered it so I could download updates. Only thing is I didn't put my mobile number on the registration and they are calling both my home & mobile from all kinds of numbers. But that is strange that I get all these warranty calls suddenly.
I also do have a 2 year old car that the warranty expired on awhile back. My bet is with Ford Credit selling this information to a lot of rat bastards- I get 3-4 calls weekly both at home & my cell
Calling for the March of Dimes. I called back, listened through the message and after a few seconds it gives an option to be removed from the call list by pressing 1. I did so, so if it's legit I should be removed from their call list.
I think this is an auto dialer of some type. Called my office at 1:50 on a Saturday. A few hours the same number called my home- which is unlisted. However, both my office & home numbers are through Vonage..possibly a connecdtion there? Vonage has been known to make customer cervice calls.
Like everyone else, when I answered there was no one there. If everyone complains to the FTC they will get shut down...same thing happened to the world's largest spammer- he's GONE!! Yeah!
call asking for my boss, we go round & round with me trying to get to the heart of the call. He finally says "is Bob in or not, I'll just call later?" I tell him unless I know what the call is about we'll go through this all over again. He says "not today" and hangs up. All I got out of him was they have something to do with industrial construction (if that's even the truth)so maybe they sell some type of machinery blades, we're in construction. I'll figure out who they are & I hope this guy gets his ass chewed.
If you call the number back you get "XO voice portal, please enter your extension now, I entered some numbers & locked it up so when whomever is using this phone number tries to get their voicemail, they won't be able to! I guessed the extension to be the last 4 of the phone number (9181) and I guess it was!
The complete number is: 011-44-179-348-4900. I'm pretty sure this is some scam for an auto warranty. We have been continually getting international calls for an extended warranty for my vehicle. We get calls at home, at my office and mailers. It's ridiculous!!! I never answer the dick-wad calls. My husband answered once & told them we didn't have any cars!! Doesn't stop. If I wanted an extended warranty I woukld buy it from a dealership- that's the smart way.
Some dot-head calliong my comapny asking for my by my maiden name (which I haven't used for about 4 years. I couldn't quite catch the name of the company- I asked what the call was in regards to nd he said 'he had a package delivery on the way his house & needed to confirm some information. I called him a lying sack of shit, pretty easy to determine since:I'm female, and don't use my maiden name & I have nothing on order,he was calling my office not my home.
My best guess is the number is spoofed, and it is another bullshit company trying to sell bullshit pharmaceuticals over the internet. I hope some people post to this so I know. I called the number back, rang many times then a voice message came on saying it was Roger, blah...blah (I could hear a lot of noice in the background like a call center would have)
They call our office at least 3 times a day & don't leave messages. I finally talked to a man & he asked for a certain employee, I told him employees do not get personal calls at my office. He said he would try again & hung up. I called back, the first time it went to a funky voicemail & the second time it went through and I spoke with a nice guy named Victor. He looked up the number they are calling and said there were several people they were calling for. Great my employees are dead-beats! He said he would remove this number from thier system if I asked them to. I asked them to so we'll see what happens. (as I was talking to Victor, they were calling AGAIN on the other line...persistent!!)And my greatest surprise was that this was an AMerican, English speaking guy- didn't seem like I was talking to India or any other foreigh country- maybe the outbound calls are from India & when you call back you get American- that way the number shows the same & Chase saves moolah that way)
They call our office number after hours so I never catch these moronic calls. It's some cruise scam. They have been calling for about 6 weeks now, at least every other day. If I ever actually catch the call I'll try to listen through to be removed- I don't have much faith it will work. How annoying!!
Said he was calling to advise us about a deduction we will be able to take as a compnay next year. I told him we had a CPA & they deduction he was calling in reference to didn't apply to us- we're too small. He said 'okay' he was just calling to advise people about this new issue. He called back again today, I asked him to cease calling us, that my boss would not talk with him. He said 'ok'. We'll see what happens
Guy had a really deep, creepy voice.
It is Rooms To Go. They call and act like they are just seeing how you like your furniture..blah, blah. Then they go into the Extended Warranty sales pitch- to me this is oretty damn rude. I told them NO, I don't want this- stop calling me. (If I wanted it, I would have purchased it!)
Like everyone else, when they call no one is on the other end..HOW ANNOYING!!! I called the number back...it obviously is out-sourced to BFE and I was on hold FOREVER. I left a message on their voice mail system & told them to stop calling me, I had ZERO interest in any warranties. Then we bought another piece of furniture, so they are calling again. I called 800.766.6786 and spoke to a very nice lady & she assured me I would be removed from their call list.
Those of you that see ACS- they must be spoofing the number or something like that because this number is Rooms To Go.
This is Radio America, they sell air time for different stations in the U.S. Based in Chicago. You can't call this number back (of course)- but you CAN call 800.866.7234 and get a nice lady to remove you from the call list.
Called my cell, they didn't leave a message. Of course when I call the number back it's disconnected (spoofing the number). I've gotten more crap about my warranty about to expire in the mail & calls at home from 011 exchanges it's RIDICULOUS! My warranty ALREADY expired!! This is the FIRST time I've ever had any telemarketer, scammer or whatever call my cell phone. I'm pissed.
I will answer next time & give the losers an earful.
I searched the number on the internet. What shows up on Caller ID is a SPOOFED number, when you call it back it is Disconnected because the number belonged to a restaurant in Georgia that is now out of business.
Don't trust the numbers you see on Caller ID- most of the times they are numbers stolen from real businesses that have NOT called you.
After just over a month, they call here again. When I try to clarify what this call is in regards to she hangs up quickly. She says ARS so fast it sounds like IRS-probably done to try to fool folks into taking the call. I've reported this company to the FTC for Unfair Debt Collecting. Since I use Vonage I can show every date and the time they call here for at least a year.
It is FMS or SMS (I couldn't tell which). Apparently they are calling from overseas or they only employ Indians. Debt Collectors.
They call & hang up so I called them back, gave the number they are calling & told him it was a business they are calling. He said he removed it from their databse. We'll see.
Company is ARS a bill collector. They keep calling for an employee even after I have told them to cease calling here. They also call from 803-.675.7439. Their '800' number is 800.238.1258
A collection company looking for an employee. Said the comapny was ARS their '800' number is 800.233.1258 I got a direct extension of 1148. I told her employees cannot receive personal calls at work & not to call here again. She tried to get in a verbal spar with me, I hung up. They've been advised by an empoyer to not make personal calls here so if they call again I'll report them to the FTC.
Obviously this is a phone number that is being 'spoofed'. It was another one of those on-line pharmacy yahoos that will not go away. Call is from a foreign country I can tell.
From the internet I think this is the a PIM software company. Asked for the boss but wouldn't tell me what they wanted.
Me again!! They went away for apporxiamtely 2 months- last I wrote was in March of 2008. As you can see from my many posts these guys do not care what you say- which amazes me- they will continue to call. My best advice: DO NOT ANSWER- EVER. Save the number in your phones & save the name as IGNORE and be sure to do just that. It doesn't matter how much you yell or what you say. I have even responded that I died when they call asking for me- that doesn't even stop them!!
They are immune from Do Not Call- they are calling from overseas and the number that shows on caller ID is spoofed (a fake number).
These guys have called our office every day for a week and I go through the mental BS of figuring out who they are & what they want. I've asked them to stop calling. Always try to get my boss and I never put them through. Called again this morning and I asked what exactly they were trying to sell. He said 'we're not trying to sell anything' which is a load of crap. I called back, asked the lady to remove us from their database & she said she would take care of it & that it takes 24 hours. She wanted to know who it was that kept calling and I didn't have his name but knew it was a black man. I hope he gets an earful for continuing to call here!
They called my home, left no message so I called back. She could not find anything in her system, either by name or phone number. How come they cannot find me when I call them back???
Anyway, after an extended phone call here is what I know: They are a collection agency for Sallie Mae student loans. I am nowhere in their system, however they could have me as a reference on someone else's loan and therefore they manually dialed the number & it won't come up when they look for it in their system.
I have absolutley no clue who they could be calling for. I have my student loan automaticlly deducted and if there were any issues I would have heard directly from Sallie Mae.
If you do get a call, I suggest you talk to them & figure out what is going on. Defaulting on a student loan is REALLY bad for your credit. This is a debt that will never go away until paid in full, by the way.
Called our office looking for a previous employee. Collections call.
Recorded message states company is NAB, calling about Visa & MasterCard processing. Trying to sell some type of software or hardware to process credit cards- they charge a fee for each transaction of 1.5% (according to the recorded message). Call came from 866-270-4461 but the number left to call back was 866-485-6222. We use Vonage for our phones & it gives you a lot of the names of comapanies that block their names & it also provides the number they actually call from.
Supposedly from Inc. Magazine wanting to do a story on 'the fastest growing companies'..blah..blah
Just a load of crap, we're a company with 7 people and we aren't growing fast!!
claimspages.com
Probably calls for several different businesses. This guy was pushy- Joe Rizzo. IS trying to get us to buy a databse of names to bid on construction work for insurance claims work. No thanks. Above you will find this companies' name. Their '800' number is 800.466.9267 Joes's extension is 3309.
I've commented on thses guys several times on this site. As susal, I now ignore the calls, but they just keep on calling. Looks like my last post was 2/20/08. No calls since then until 2 days ago. Now they will call every other day for awhile, then they will go away for about 6 months then call again. The number on caller ID is bogus and they call from overseas. There is absolutely nothing you can do about it except decide not get peeved over it and ignore them. No amount of begging, ranting & raving or anything will make them stop- trust me. I made the mistake of purchasing muscle relaxers thru an on-line 'pharmacy' about 5 years ago & they keep calling. They pass my number aropund to all the other on-line 'pharmacies' and the cycle will never be broken. I had to actually get a new cell phone number after 15 years becuase they called so much.
I answer, they hang up. Looks as though this is common- what's the point in calling folks if no one ever speaks. Possibly trying to verify this is a working number for some reason?
Another on-line pharmacy. Another dot-head dude, with the delay I can tell it is overseas. I told them AGAIN to stop calling and hung up. Will mark on my phone to ignore this number since I am sure they will continue to call.
They will never leave you alone- once they have your number they will call, and call, and call-years will go by. If you ignore the calls they will continue to call you for several months, then go away then come back seven months later and start all over....
I first posted on these guys in October 2006 and they still persist. It had gotten so bad I changed my cell phone number I had for 15 years... What is really sad is they are calling a business- when they ask for me I have even told them 'she died' and they say 'Oh, I'm sorry' then call back in a day or two. INCREDIBLE. All you can do is ignore & never answer them
These guys are calling to collect money, they 'spoof' the 214-473-4510 number. They called our office today looking for one of our employees. I took the information-so here it is: Company is Associated Recovery Systems 888-319-0986. The particular guy that called was 'Mr. Schmidt' at extension 1231.
I've told them in the past to stop calling this place of business for ersonal callsw but these guys are one of those really crappy collection agencies that do whatever they want. Ignore them.
Well, the last time they called I reported it on 7-27-07. As usual they go away for awhile then come back around. I don't answer- just ignore. They will talk over you and try to hard sell you some RX (internet drugs) and you can tell them to never call aggain. Trust me, they will call again and again. I made the mistake of buying muscle relaxers over the internet ONE time and OMG!!!! They won't go away- it has been over 5 years since I made the purchase and they just pass your name & number around to their other dot-head buddies. Mark your caller ID's as 'ignore' and do it.
They hang up when I answer. I called back & get a quick busy number. Just another spoofed number. I mark them on my cell (office phones are forwarded to my cell 24/7)to 'IGNORE' and move on.
There's a TON of spoofing going on and a lot of 'telemarketing' companies uisng any method to get to you. Just ignore them and don't get worked up about it- DNC lists are worthless.
They say they are wanting to interview the owner for a segment on a TV program about businesses. From what I have learned, these guys may interview you then try to sell it to a TV station. If that is accomplished then you PAY for that.
There are several different 'companies' doing this. One big one is 'Who's Who' DON'T EVER DO THESE unless you are willing to pay.
Tell 'em to screw-off.
They are trying to sell some sort of database I'm sure, mostly for contractors. They called to see if we wanted to do insurance 'clean-up work from fire damage'. We're contractors that do commercial construction. They obviously have no clue what business your in before they call. They just get 'close'. What idiots!!
Okay people here's how this works: The number displayed on Caller ID is IRRELEVANT!!! Means nothing. Anyone can have any number show up on Caller ID. I answered the call because I have Anonymous call block, so when a call comes through with 'UNKNOWN' in the display but there is a number shown, 99% of the time it is a bogus deal so I just screw with them.
This time it was definitley a call from the middle east. The lady asked for me by my maiden name. I figure this was from another one of those online pharmacies trying to sell me drugs since I have had those calls for about 4 years now and I can't get rid of these dot-heads. I just ignore them or hang up on them once I hear the middle eastern accent they hear 'click'
Our company is in construction. Shawn left a message stating ;he had some work in our area but wanted to talk to ----- before sending out any material\'. Just another SCAM company leaving a BS message trying to get you to call back so they can try to sell something.
If a company can\'t leave a REAL message about who they are & why they are calling ignore them!
Keep calling asking for my boss. I never let them through & they won't say who they are. I guess we'll play the game until they quit calling. I love my job!
Wanted me to take a survey. I hung up.
Everyone needs to email: bobrivera@kantarops.com & demand to be removed from call lists.
You can't rely on Do Not Call, or in lodging a complaint- you have to contact the companies directly & get a manager on the phone. Take ACTION, people!!!
Jim, Jim, Jim. You are an idiot and you obviously work for these dirtbags, or gad a phone call from them yourself- otherwise why would you have been looking up the number?
What a LOSER- and don't judge folks that can't pay. Some day you may lose your $6.00/hour job and then how will you pay the rent in the rat trap you probably live in???
It's a call trying to get money for Texas State Troopers. You can ask to be removed from their call list, but they will call again next year.
Since they are 'non-profit' they aren't governed by Do Not Call regulations
Company is American Mortgage Service Company. The supposedly handle information for various mortgage compnies such as updating information on files and possible collections. Their '800' number is 800.662.3806. They may be calling to update records on a home mortgage loan.
Blue Valley Telemarketing. As Angel said, just call 785-799-3500 and ask to be removed from their call list. You will get a pleasant human being when you call.
Company is MSMB2B-ISP web address: msmb2b.com
Called back, got recording 'lines are temporarily busy'.
Just ignore them & they will eventually go away!
It is Concerned Woman for America. Just call back & press 1 to be removed from their call lists.
The DNC does NOT pertain to 'non-profit' organizations people!!
I called them back, asked to be removed. The lady was very nice, apologized for any inconvenience & said my number was removed. She also reminded me they were non-profit therefore weren't governed by the DNC rules. I said I knew that but don't call again.
We'll see.
People- don't get so eaten up with hatred over things you don't agree with, just take the time to take the correct actions; also understand the laws of the DNC for petes' sake!
I called & left a message in their voice mail box to remove our number. I also sent an email to the info@thegrantpeople.com to stop calling our office. We'll se if it works.
Just ignore 'em folks... if you never answer they will eventually stop calling. That is really all you can do. The DNC list doesn't do squat for individuals, and besides who's to say that what shows on Caller ID is right? Ever heard of 'spoofing'???!!
If you call back it rings forever, then the message tells you the mailbox is full.
Asked for Owner, wouldn't let him through so he hung up. Just another guy trying to sell his services. I'm sure they will call again....
Go To: surveys.cybercept.com
You can request to have your number removed & it's supposed to take 12-72 hours. We'll see. They call twice a day.
By the way- don't bother telling these guys you are on th Do Not Call list...they are from out of the country and FTC can't find these guys and don't care to anyway. If I accidentally answer a call I SCREAM at them at the top of my lungs for them to stop calling. It works for awhile.
Well, it took them 9 months to start calling me again! The call is from another country- Caller ID showed '011.425.906.3740'.
The best thing to do is NOT answer any Unknown calls. These guys will NEVER stop calling. Trust me. They pass your number along to the next 'On-Line Pharmacy'. I've been dealing with this for 4 years now. Even had to change my cell phone number.
Supposedly forn The Texas State Troopers- looking for money.
Here's how to tkae care of these guys: Call their home office (866-538-0668 ask for Lela) she is very nice & very helpful.
They have other companies that do appointment setting for them (but their number shows on caller ID.) As soon as you receive one of these calls, call the 866 number & they can trace back to who specifically it is that is calling & get you removed.
This is 'ICT' calling on behalf of HSBC (credit card) trying to sell other services. They probably make calls for other companies as well (that is what they are in the business of- telemarketing for others.) Yeah, you can take option '2' when you call the number back, but they WILL call several times a day for the next (at least) 30 days. Answer the phone & tell them to remove you number NOW, if they say it takes 30 days- tell them NO, remove it NOW.
Even if you do have business with a company they DO NOT have the rights to call & try to sell you more services.
By the way- those of you that believe the FTC Do Not Call is the 'be all, end all'..GROW UP!!! FTC only looks at the numbers of complaints they don't care about your issue.
People: Grow a pair and take up for yourselves!!! Don't let bill collectors, credit card companies & the like suck the life out of you!!
Okay, these posts show me there really are a whole lot of stupid people out there.....(judging by these posts!!) Let's make it really simple: THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM- unless you personally know someone in another country that could be calling you with a calling card- don't answer. TA DA- problem solved.
Anyone can make ANY number show on caller ID, it's called 'spoofing'. Don't expect ANYTHING just because you are on the FTC Do Not Call registry. Man, folks use your heads for something other than earrings & hats!!!
Just called & spoke to HER boss (at LDG Financial 877-290-9573)- I think she will be seeking new employment. I was assured this phone number would be removed & this person dealt with immediately.
This a collections company. They called for an employee and when I told her she needed to contact the employee at home, not his place of business he told me 'you don't need to know what the call is in reference to' she added 'I'll call you every day' I hung uo on her.
The website is: ldgpayonline.com, phone number 877-290-9573.
Pretty damn rude bitch. Believe me, I'm going to rock HER world at her place of business now. I am sick of out of control bill collectors calling a place of business for employees and giving me crap.
No message left as usual. I'm sure this is an 'online pharmacy'. If you have EVER purchased any RX's through an on-line pharmacy you will be in 'dot-head' purgatory. They will NEVER stop calling- NEVER. I had to change my mobile phone number because they have been calling for over 4 years now; they call my work as well and when they ask for me I've even said "she died from a prescription she bought from an on-line pharmacy- the police are needing to talk to you guys." They hang up & call again in about 2 weeks. I have screamed at them, threatened them. To no avail. They CONTINUE to call. They say "this is your on-line pharmacy..." (they're calling a business & don't care WHO answers!!! They will never remove your number from their 'call list' they just pass it around to the next 'dot-head' running an on-line pharmacy and so on and so on....
Guarantee it is an internet pharmacy company-'dot heads' calling. They spoof a number (use another companys' phone number on caller ID). They won't quit calling so just ignore it when you see the number on caller ID; maybe after 9 months or so they will go away.
This is from a Spammer- they are stealing the phone number, so the number that shopws on Caller ID is not the number the calls are generating from.
If you ever acutally speak to anyone- ask them why they use another companys' phone number on caller ID?
Go to their web address and click UNSUBSCRIBE at the top of the page. Maybe that will work.
fnin.com
First National. Called 818-909-6800 to be removed. We'll see if it works. I doubt it.
They call the office asking for my boss.
Say they are from 'Viking'- most likely a collection agency of some sort since they called our office looking for one of our employees that has had a lot of collection calls lately
Calles again at 7:50 AM- I don't answer anymore. It's a scam. The caller ID always says something different yet the number is the same.
Just ask them 'If this is not a fraud then why does caller ID show another companys' phone number?'
ASk for the owner, say they are form some Representative's office. Caller ID uses the number of a legitimate company, not really the number from which this scam is generated.
This lady was totally illiterate!!
Never trust Caller ID- they can 'spoof' any number they wish. Just hang up on them, you'll get another call from another 'Represenative's' office soon.
this is some bottom feeder debt collector that bought my very old AMEX account and are now calling trying to collect. They called my office & asked for me by my maiden name (big give away) and I told them no one by that name worked there (the truth). They'll go away. They suddenly call once every 4-5 years- try once & go away until the next bonehead buys the debt again for .02 on the dollar.
My old account was awritten off bck in 1998...do they really think I will pay anythihg on this? Lick knobs.
Anywhoooo..I now have an American Express account in good standing.
DO NOT ANSWER and DO NOT PAY under any circumstances. Just IGNORE,IGNORE!
