This apparently is an outgoing number from a nurses' station at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

I believe this to be true, even though I did not pick it up. I did give out my work number to someone who would be calling from this number and will confirm it if/when I get a call again from this person.

I just got this call on my cell phone. Did not answer. no message left. I rarely give out my cell number so this is definitely on some list somewhere. Not happy.

Considering I've seen this from other numbers I want to know HOW the FRAK did I get on this LIST? and please tell me how to get off of it.

This message did NOT identify a company name but upon web-search I found info on 800notes.com. This site identifies this as a collection agency, C C A Commercial Credit Adjusters (cca.ca)

I'm fairly certain this is a "telephony switch" as described by dstruct2k. After I did not pick up the call, a message was left on voicemail from a salesman @ tigerdirect.ca that I had spoken to just over a month ago.

So the number itself is not a scam number, per say; the people using it may be from all types of different sources.

Called back number, the service is called "24/7" and recorded message says you can leave name and number and detailed message to have name removed. I never leave my number on things like that, and call display block when I call.

This number also repeatedly calls me, but I now have shaw digital phone and can try to use "Selective Call Blocking" to ban them from calling. we'll see...

Calls every morning around 9:30. I have never picked up but called the line back thinking it was someone else.

The recorded message at this number states it is the "Survey centre for Prairie Research Associates," an Independent research and survey company based in Winnipeg with branches across Canada.

The are a survey company doing research on "Public Policy issues."

They state you can leave your name and number after the tone to remove your number. I have not tried this, but simply blocked the number.

This is normally the Canadian Blood Services calling to ask for blood donations. There was no name listed on the call display via Shaw Digital Phone services.

I picked up this called Sat morning around 10 am.
I said hello, and after an initial pause, female voice answered hello (it didn't sound like a recording)

"This is Cami, may I speak to the lady of the house?"
I responded politely: "Hi Cami, Would you please remove my from the call list?"
"Sure, no problem, we will put you on the do not call list."
"Thank you, Cami."

Did not get to the actual 'pitch' so I cannot report who-what-where, but will monitor if they call back.
