Yet another credit pirate. They only want to buy your debt so they can charge you a higher APR than what you already pay. When I called them back on the same number, I got what sounded like a real business. I suspect it's phony. Rot in Hell, DW Scott. Prey on someone else.
Trying to scam someone into buying a home security system. Yeah, right.
From the BBB.org website:
NOT accredited with the BBB.
They obtained my information illegally and tried to sell me some sort of online merchant credit account. They would not give me the name of the company that sold them the data. This really puts me out because someone is selling my data illegally, and I can't stop them.
I suspect them of fraud.

Predatory mortgage scammer.
Upon dialing back "DET 02 - Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again."
They called my cellphone. That's supposed to be illegal. I wish someone would jail these creeps.
Recorded message from 'Heather' with 'Credit Card Services' saying something like my 'credit is not in danger but that this is my final notice. Press 1 to speak to a representative now.' A man who could barely speak English answered the phone. I asked him what state he was in: 'Florida...' and city? 'Orlando...' The area code is for Washington DC, so that can't be so, but I didn't say that to him. He said the name of the company was 'Visa and Mastercard Services' - actually he said 'Visa and Mericar Services' which I heard as 'Visa and America Services' but then he attempted to better pronounce mastercard. I basically tried to keep him on the phone as long as I could, which wasn't long. He sounded tired, like this was normal. I get at least one of these a month, always from a different number. They used to use American phone 'representatives' but I think they've outsourced the call centers overseas. I'm on the national do-not-call list, yet I still get called by these flagrant law-breakers. It's obvious they want me to transfer any large debt I might have to their 'services' so I end up incurring gross annual fees that put money in their pockets at the expense of my gross incompetence or ignorance of phone scams. It's certainly fraud, yet they seem to operate with impunity within the borders of our nation. Obviously there are enough desperate or gullible people out there who take the bait. I'm betting they really are located in Florida, since that's where most of the phone and fax scams seem to be located. There must be some tax shelter for phone scammers there. When is this kind of garbage going to be stopped? I wish the FBI or the CIA would give me a list of fake 'track-and-alert' credit card numbers and names I could use to 'apply' on the phone for one of these transfers every time I get a call like this. Then maybe we'd catch them in the act and put them in jail for good.
But then I remembered... Our government bailed out banks so they could buy up other smaller banks, and then the same big banks asked for more money when they ran out again. So I guess these guys are small potatoes. It's not even worth going after them. I have to ask: Why don't they just steal money from me like the big banks do - legally from my tax dollars through government bailouts? Apparently that's where the 'real' money is.
A scam artist autodialer trying to sell unwary marks a burial plot or something like that. When you call the number back - "Sorry - this number is no longer in service or has been disconnected." I hope they get caught and do jail time.
Supposedly selling something to seniors. Dial zero for operator and it hangs up. Call them back and it's busy. Don't trust these people. They use the same fraudulent tactics as phone credit pirates.
"Heather" calling from "Credit Card Services" - This is a credit pirate. They try to convince you to switch your debt burden from a more reputable credit company (if there can be such a thing) to them so they can jack up the APR and charge you for every little thing. No there is nothing you can do about them calling you at 3:30 in the morning. Nobody is paid to enforce federal mandates against it. For that reason, they apparently don't feel bound to adhere to the federal do-not-call list.
When I called the number back, I got an auto-reply. "Thank you for calling back. I you are not interested in receiving future calls regarding our special promotions and would like to be placed on our do-not-call list, please press 1. Please allow up to 72 hours to have your number removed from our preferred marketing list. Thank you and have a nice day." It said this three times and hung up. When I called back again and pressed 1, it said 'Thank you.'
Credit piracy of this sort should be illegal.
I got a recorded message from 'Economic Relief' at this number. I punched '1' to talk with a person. I was put in a 'queue', probably to weed out people who don't want to wait. After about 20 seconds, I got a real person. I asked the name of the company, the woman said 'Credit Card Services' - different from 'Economic Relief.' That was my first red flag. I said "I don't have time to talk now, can you give me a number to call back?" The woman said I could call the number on the back of any of my credit cards and that would bring me to credit card services. Well duh. That was my second red flag. I asked where the company was located, and she said Washington DC. I asked for a specific address and she started getting testy. I kept trying to get information, but all I got was circular answers and rudeness. Final red flag. If this had been a real credit card service, they would have been courteous and professional, given me an exact address and telephone number, etc. I can only assume this is a scam to bilk money from already suffering people at exorbitant rates because it's no longer illegal to charge whatever you want in the way of APR. This is clearly the number of a usurious lender. Steer clear. I doubt they're really located in DC. I suspect they're located in NY or FL.
Costa Rica Call
I would like it if the FTC and the FBI would put together a task force to eliminate this kind of garbage. We're on the national do-not-call list. I think fraudsters are buying the list and using to the opposite purpose. There needs to be a system in the lists the government hands out that includes fake numbers that alert the correct government officials that someone is actually using the list to fraudulent purposes. A drivers license needs to be connected to every person who orders a copy of the list. They should sign an affadavit making them personally responsible for any fraudulent use of the no-call list.
Called while I was on the phone with someone else. Spam caller, obviously.
This illinois number is obviously a clearinghouse for phone-spamming unsuspecting people with political wanabee advertisements. It probably costs a bundle. Frankly, I'll be glad when this crap is over. Political telephone canvasing should be as illegal as any other phone spam. This time it was for Sherri Jackson. I'm half tempted to vote for someone else out of spite. Useless spammer...
I've gotten several calls from this number today, and they refuse to leave a message. The line is permanently 'busy' if you try to call back.
This time the call is from a health insurance 'company' asking when it would be okay for an agent to call back. I asked what the name of the company was, and they hung up.
Last time it was a credit card company - same phone number.
When I redial, I get 'We're sorry, you have reached a number that is no longer in service or has been disconnected. Please check the number and dial again.'
These people are racking up negative karma points.
Auto-called by a company calling itself 'Consumer Services'. Pressed "1". "Jasmine" answered. I asked her the name of the company - she said "Consumer Services - we work with Mastercard." I asked "What's the address for Consumer Services" and she said "Oh!" and hung up. It's obviously a usury scam. I wish to high heavens that the FTC would bust these guys. We get called about once a month illegally. We're on the national do-not-call list.
These people need to fry in hell.
I suspect this is the number for a very rude and persistent collection agency - CBCS. We have gotten a call from them about someone we never met who lived at our address years before we lived here. They called our phone by using a reverse civic address directory. The number has never been associated with the person they are trying to collect from because we've had the number for years. Yet still they call. We've also found our mail being rifled through. We've taking this to the police. We want this stopped and will press charges if the harassment doesn't stop. We don't know the person they're trying to reach and feel threatened for our safety and security in our own home. On the advice of the police, we called the number back, told them we "don't know now, nor have we ever known the whereabouts of the person they seek. Please don't ever call us again." We'll get a warrant for their arrest if they persist.
The number was spoofed. When I called back 'No longer in service'.
The auto greeter said I won a home wireless security system.
Press 1 to talk to a representative.
Press 2 to be removed.
Yeah, right. When is the FBI going to crack down on these crooks?
