what a jerk!!!! called my work place, rudely asked for a person, when told that person wasn't available, the caller asked "why?". I said " They are working, this is not a personal phone, it is a company phone." The caller said" So? They are too busy to talk to me?" I said "yes" and hung up.
Who are these rude azzes????

This number called my work, looking for a former employee. When told that the person did not work for us anymore, the caller started asking personal questions about that person. I informed the caller that I knew nothing about their whereabouts or anything as the compnay had changed states. The caller stated " Sh*t, I have some major business I was working on with him, can't you give me any information about where he is?" I told her that I had heard he left the country for health reasons. Then I hung up[.
The caller was very pushy, wanting personal information. Rather rude collection company.

I have it on tape at work. I hope the person decides to contact the proper authorities as the voicemail box says it is a "general" voicemail that messages will be pulled from and forwarded. This is telemarketing and sales. They want to buy your old phones and offere you new equipement at a reduced cost.
Not sure if they are shady. We get lots of calls from company offereing the same thing.

They advised me that the police would be down to arrest me for helping out the person they are looking for. WTH?? I think they need to be stopped. This is ridiculous. This is illegal.

This is the SunCom telemarketing sales division, calling to leave a message about what offers they have going for the holidays, and if you are already a customer, they are telling you what new offers you may have.

So, this number is calling where I work and asking for someone, like they are one of our vendors...but they aren't. They are NCO and are scum bag chits that try to scam you into paying a debt that isn't yours. They also threaten and says they "know" where you live. Its a bit crazy. They do not believe it when you tell them you have no idea what they are talking about.

This company called looking for information about our phone system. They have been asked not to call our company on numerous occasions because we do not participate in surveys.
Now, if they have been asked NUMEROUS times not to call, why does that make ME the bad guy, PeopleAmazeMe?

Anyway, they are a survey company, and it seems they refuse to stop calling when asked. I think that puts THEM in the wrong, not those of us that have asked NOT to be called.

I realize ppl have to make a living, but when I answer my phone, and I tell a company that I do not participate and ask them nicely NOT to call me any longer, I don't see where they have the right to be totally rude to me, bite my head off, call me names, and "demand" that I give them information. Called numerous times in an hour wanting to speak to the Accounts Payable manager at the company I work for. Would not give name or tell me which company she was with. Kinda shady that she wouldn't tell me...if it was legit, she wouldn't have anything to hide.

Very Very Annoying!!! Call over and over and over to my work. Wants names of executives. Wants to talk to "live" person in Marketing. Over and over they call. They will not leave a voicemail or message for anyone, want to speak to someone live. They are pushy, and keep calling back, trying to get a VP or something to answer a phone.

This number ( hotel and travel agency)has called our business 7 times in 20 minutes. will not leave a voicemail for the person, keeps calling back over and over. Quite a rude lady, demanding I "put her thru" to that person, then when she gets voicemail, she calls right back. I advised her to please leave the person a message so the call can be returned, but she just hangs up and calls back instead.

A collection agency. Another number that they call from is 877-999-1962. They try to dig for information on ppl in order to locate them.
They are rather rude. I don't answer there personal questions, I just listen to them. Sometimes I route the call back to their own number. LOL. That's fun!

this company calls trying to get information about employees, where located, what number to reach them, who they report to...all kinds of info that can NOT be given out. But keeps calling. I called the number back and got a recording that sounded like Conserv, but just not sure exactly what it says. My guess is a collection agency looking for a victim.

It sounded like a call center for collections. i wouldn't have put the call thru anyway, so its good that it just popped into a voice mail. i don't know who the call was for because they started leaving the message before the "beep" so I just got part of the message...no name.
i hate collection agencies. i can't understand why anyone would want to work for one...unless they feel the need to push and threaten ppl...if thats it, that explains the mentality of the ppl who call from these places.

this is a sneaky marketing company. they call and say they are someone else...actually they said whjen they called my work that they were with Lockton Health Benefits and it was time to discuss renemal. Come to find out, they are using the Lockton name but they are actually National Marketing Service. They do telemarketing, surveys, and sell names to other telemarketing or sales comapanies.
They misrepresent themselves completely...and Lockton isn't even aware that their name is being used.

This is a sales call. About software and IT technologies. They are out of Ga. They call and try to get names so they can harrass for ppl. Pishy. Acts like they know more about you and your company than you know about yourself.

Its some collection agency. You should have heard all the noise and talking in the background! I could hear peices of personal information in background conversations.
This number Called where I work looking for someone that doesn't work here. I told them that no one by that name works in the office. They wanted our Human Resources dept. to verify what I said. I sent it through, but HR can not tell them anything about an employee other than hire and term dates.
If the caller tries to a message with HR or discloses any personal information, they will be SO busted!

This caller asked for the "decision maker" of our phone services. I advised them to call the home office and gave them the number. Then I politely said" thank you" and hung up. Seems to be some type of survey or telemarket sales from the noise and words i could hear in the background.

I called the number back, got a gentleman named Michael. He was nice, but would not tell me what company it was. I explained that a message was left on a general voicemail for someone that does not work at our company. He asked what number I was calling from but before I could tell him, he recited my number back, so it appears they do have "spy" phones. He then recited the name of the person they were looking for back to me also. I confirmed that there was no one working here by that name, and he said he would remove the company number from their records. He was very nice...thats strange for a Collection Agency

Left a message on the company general voicemail for someone that does not work here. Whats so bad is the caller left personal financial information and threats for a third party to hear. ooopppss!

This comapny called again. I advised them that I could put them into a voicemail that employees get their messages from, however, other ppl listen to those calls also. I advised that if it was a personal call, they should not leave personal messages in that voicemail.
The caller laughed. Imagine that.
So I asked if they wanted to leave a message in that general voicemail box, and advised them that personal messages would not be delivered, unless they were emergencies and only at the supervisors discretion.
The caller laughed again.
I asked if he wanted to leave a message.
He said " Yes, I will leave a message and hope the supervisor hears it. It would make my day for the supervisor to know the persons business"
Then he laughed again.
I put him into voicemail...but he chose NOT to leave a message.
He was trying to intimidate me. But I don't play that game.

3 calls in one day. Caller wants to talk to the "decision maker" of the company. Rolled off names of exec. who haven't worked for the company in years and years.
I asked them to stop calling as their information was out-dated, and they obviously weren't one of our vendors.

Then another beep.

Well, they called 3 times in a row again( within 5 minutes of each other ). This time, twice, the caller asked for someone that doesn't work here. Just like before. The 3rd time, the caller asked for someone else, and stated "That is _____'s Supervisor."
I said, " I can put you into a voicemail, but unless it is an emergency, you will not get that supervisor live. You can leave him a message, however, our legal department will be informed if you leave another financially personal message in a voicemail box that others can hear. So, it is your choice, what do you want to do?"
The caller said " I can leave a message, its MY business."
I said " Okay. just warning you about the policies of that department. And by the way, you are being recorded right now. Please hold while I transfer you to that voicemail box."

The man called saying he is from a law office. He wanted to speak with the head of our finance and payroll department. He said he was calling to garnish wages.
I could hear others in the background.
My gut feeling is that he is actually a collection agency, posing as a law office.
He was very abrupt. and did not like it that I questioned him about what the call was in reference to.
Just letting you know, in case that number pops up on one of your phones.

This number does not belong to IBM although the caller said," I am calling on behalf of IBM."
This is the 3rd call in 2 days, with the same spill.

Well, it just happened that our rep from IBM was in the office, working on something.
So, I told the caller " Oh, our IBM rep is here right now, let me check with him and see if he is aware of any issue that you are calling about."
Then the caller was "Huh? you have IBM there?'
I said,"Yes, right here beside me, I can ask him right now."
The caller hurried into a spill of " No, thats okay. you have a rep there?. Good-bye"
I said" WAIT! let him talk to you. He wants to talk to you!"

Why would he do that? If he was ligit from IBM, he would have spoken to our IBM rep.
Yesterday I had 2 calls like this from different numbers.
One of them, I said 'No, you are not from IBM because their number would show up here on my switchboard."

This was an odd call. It was left as a voicemail in my work message box for another employee. The man said he was from Friedman's Jewelers. But the number doesn't come back to that company.

401k Exchange Again. First thing this morning, as soon as I opened up my switchboard, they rang in. It was like 2 minutes after 8 a.m.
This time it was a man, a rude man. I advised him that the person he was looking for was not in the office yet, and I would be glad to take a message.

I said: Okay, but you may get voicemail as most ppl are screening their calls during this busy season.
He said: Why?
I said: Becauase they are busy working and trying to get everything put together for the holiday rush.

Telemarketing, Sales Solicitation for convention centers and hotels. Caller wanted to speak to the person that "heads up" scheduling events and conferences.
She got a voicemail, and called back and wanted names and a "live" person.
Employees here don't want these types of constant sales and solicitation calls, so she ended up with a voicemail again. Very insistant, pushy.

Called Marketforce Information: Solicitation of Sales, Survey and marketing. Calls and acts like they are already working with you or the company in order to get thru to an exectutive of the company, an owner, the head of the household.
Basicly, its sales telemarketing.

Called wanting to know who handles my credit cards? wth??? like I'm gonna tell him. i told him all my accounts are through a bank in England, so he hung up. lol.

OH, called back again after getting a voicemail system, instead of a live person. Wanted the name of the head of payroll so she could make a garnishment.
I told her that I could not give out that name, she hung up on me.

Called here about 10 minutes ago for our payroll department. Said she needed to speak to someone about a garnishment.
I put her through and she got the department voicemail. I saw it pick up. No message left.

we receive calls from this number to our main switchboard. Unfortunately, the calls are so time consuming, that I am forced to continuiously put them on hold to answer other lines and come back.
If they already have the name or department, I can get them through, but if they are digging for information, like names of employees, management names, such as that, I can't help them much, as i am not at liberty to give out employee information. It takes a while to get thpough a call from this number, and on a busy switchboard with numerious lines (like ours, it takes even longer.

And here they go again...calling. I hung up on them twice. Then i called their number back and told them to stop calling this business number because i could not help them with their search of people. They refused to take our business number off their list. They said they would keep calling until they *got what they wanted*.

This called again today, the day after Thanksgiving, asking for the same person. The office here is basicly closed, just a handful of people in here to finish a couple of things b4 the weekend. I'm here, to tell callers that no one is here. lol.
I told them that no one works here by that name (just like before). They hummed...hummed...and said "I'm sure he works there, put me through." I said "No he doesn't, I have a list of employees and that name isn't on it. So I CAN'T put you thru. Good-bye and have a nice day."
Then I hung up before he could try to argue with me again.
For the life of me, I can not understand how some stranger out "there" could possibly know better who works in my office than I do? Stupid question, right? Next time I will ask him why he thinks he knows who works here... but i don't know?.

I am ready for that scumbag company. Don't threaten me cause I will file a complaint.

Calls work for an X-employee. They don't speak good English and wouldn't accept NO for an answer. They were told that no one by that name worked for our company, but they wouldn't hang up and kept telling me to get the person.

Good grief!! This number shows up numerious times on my "spy" phone at work. And it is never the same company. Always someone trying to get the names of VPs and such, they will not give me a call back number. They all work the same. Get names...sell the names...more calls...etc. I don't give them the info they want, and it makes them mad. I tell them that I can't even transfer their call with a number like 000000000 because it is blocked. Too bad...so sad. :(

This number Calls where I work constantly, even though the people they are asking for will not talk to them. They won't leave mesages, they want a "live" person. I would have thought they would get the message that no one is interested in talking to them...since the calls are always screened and refused.

They call my cell phone number asking for someone else. They really are rude. They call several times a day. They threaten me. Why? They threaten to call neighbors on my street to make me pay a debt...and i am not even the person they are looking for. They threaten to hunt me down via my cell phone records and force me to pay with whatever means they need to use. They threaten to send their "people" to sit outside my house and watch me. What the hell kind of company is this? I have asked them not to call because the cell# i have has only been mine about a year. But they won't stop calling. I don't know how to make them stop. they won't listen.

Get this one all the time. I guess my cell phone# belonged to the person before. They are pushy and rude. I told them not to call, but they keep doing it.
