The 2007-10-01, 04 calls were thus not unsolicited.
However, caller id does still show 'Unknown Name.'

Bought software via web, they handled the credit card side of things.
Received robotic voice mail saying needed order confirmed. (The name I provided didn't match the name on the credit card, I expect.)
They also sent me e-mail on the same issue. (But claimed in the e-mail I hadn't given them an accurate phone number. Go figure, given the above.)
Regardless, very easy to deal with the issue via e-mail.
I complimented them on the good customer service. (Something that is less and less frequent these days.)

Calling to notify of rate increase.
Interesting, caller was in central time U.S., but I'm in Canada. And accounting/invoicing details have always happened out of Manitoba / Canada.
Never any U.S. involvement until now.
Confirmed, called the number listed on this site, 800-409-0420, told them to remove my number, and they said they would. We'll see, I suppose.
Calling for free inspection of furnace systems, etc.
Since I rent, I asked to be taken off the call list. We'll see.
